10/4/2024 1:22:44 AM

Diablo 4 Season 6 Vessel of Hatred is shaping to be one of the easiest seasons to level up. Here's the new leveling strategies for the upcoming Diablo 4 expansion, that break down what to expect and how to maximize your leveling efficiency in Season 6, the Season of Hatred & Vessel of Hatred.

Diablo 4 Season 6 & Vessel of Hatred Leveling Changes

With the release of Season 6 and the Vessel of Hatred expansion, significant changes are introduced to the leveling and progression system:

  • Level Cap: 60, down from the current 100.

  • Levels 1-50: Still be the traditional leveling journey where players earn the bulk of their Skill Points.

  • Levels 51-59: Offer significant item power jumps, and at level 60 players will see another big jump in item power with the introduction of Ancestral items.

  • Level 60: The Paragon system will now unlock at level 60, rather than the current level 50, and Paragon points will be shared across all characters on a realm.

  • Glyph Leveling: Take place in the new "The Pit" system, with Glyphs maxing out at level 100 (up from the previous cap of 21).

  • Game Difficulty: Split into Standard (Normal, Hard, Expert, Penitent) and Torment difficulties, with The Pit used to set the difficulty level across the entire game.

These changes seem aimed at streamlining the character progression system and providing more meaningful power spikes and challenges as players level up.

Diablo 4 Season 6 Fastest 1-60 Leveling Rotue & Method

With the changes being mind and tested in 2.0 PTR, here we want to share some insights and strategies for efficiently leveling in Season 6, the Season of Hatred:

1. Starting Off: The Campaign and Season 6 Mechanics

When the expansion drops, starting with the campaign is a great choice. Enjoy the story and experience it fully. After completing the campaign, dive into the Season 6 questline. Once you've enjoyed the narrative, Season 6 awaits with its unique 'Vessel of Hatred' mechanic involving Mesto. As you defeat enemies, they spawn portals that lead to new challenges—this not only adds to the fun but also to your experience points (XP).

2. Early Leveling: Levels 1 to 37

In my tests, I managed a fresh start run from level 1 to 60 in about 3 hours and 15 minutes. Here’s how you can approach the early leveling:

Initial Grind to Level 37: Start by completing the campaign to get a good base of levels and equipment. Following this, engage in either Hell Tide events or PvP zones. Both are excellent for gathering resources like Grim favors or Nightmare dungeon keys.

Nightmare Dungeons: Once you have a dungeon key, focus on running Nightmare dungeons repeatedly. This method is incredibly efficient for leveling up quickly up to level 37. Make sure to pick up your class-specific mechanics at levels 15 and 25, which for Necromancers, are crucial milestones.

3. Mid-Level Strategy: Levels 37 to 60

After reaching level 37, the leveling strategy shifts significantly:

Strongholds: Travel through the different regions and tackle every stronghold you can find. Previously, this strategy would start at level 40, but with new changes, beginning this phase at level 37 is more effective. The XP from turning in stronghold quests is substantial and can propel you from level 37 to 60 in about an hour.

Adjusting Difficulty: A key tactic is to lower the game difficulty to 'Hard' or even 'Normal' once you begin your stronghold runs. This makes clearing them faster and decreases time spent on difficult fights, without reducing the XP gained from turn-ins.

4. Post-Level 60 and Beyond

Once you hit level 60, the game shifts towards optimizing your build and maximizing your efficiency in higher difficulty settings:

Immediate Goals: You can immediately start tackling Pit 20 and unlock Torment I difficulty, which is relatively easy with any decent build. Torment I allows you to drop any item in the game, providing a significant boost in gearing up.

Scaling Up: As you gather resources and improve your gear, you'll want to progress through Torment levels. Each increase in Torment level significantly boosts the rewards from elite drops and boss fights.

Party Finder: Utilize the party finder for efficient farming, especially for specific bosses like Zer in Hell Tide events. Sharing kills in a group can quadruple your material gains, speeding up your progression.

Push to Torment IV: Ultimately, your goal will be to reach and farm Torment IV efficiently. This will require a combination of good gear, strategic build choices, and mastering the game mechanics.

More Tips for Efficient Leveling Progression

Here are more tips can improve your leveling:

Difficulty Settings: Use Expert difficulty early on for increased XP and gold, then adjust as necessary for strongholds.

Legendary Aspects: Prioritize obtaining these for significant power boosts.

Ancestral Gear: Aim for these as they provide superior stats and upgrade potential.

As you gain gear and Paragon points, your power will increase, paving the way for T4 farming. Keep an eye on new season mechanics, such as infernal hordes, which might offer additional benefits.

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred Fastest 1-60 Leveling Rotue & Method

Now the following Vessel of Hatred leveling strategies will help you efficiently reach the new level cap of 60 and prepare you for the endgame content, including the UND City raid and more:

1. Starting Off: Choosing Your Difficulty

When you begin your journey in Diablo 4's Vessel of Hatred expansion, your first decision will be selecting the difficulty level. You have options ranging from Normal to Penitent. For most players, starting on Normal difficulty is recommended. It offers a balanced progression speed, allowing you to reach level 60 within approximately four to five hours of gameplay. If you're looking for more of a challenge and faster XP gains, consider higher difficulties like Hard, which offers a 75% XP bonus from defeating enemies.

Engaging With Expansion Content

If you have access to the expansion, dive into the Vessel of Hatred storyline. It's not only cinematic and engaging but also an effective way to level up quickly by following the main and side missions that it offers.

2. Early Leveling Strategy: Hell Tides

One of the fastest leveling methods early on is participating in Hell Tides, dense with enemies, providing substantial XP gains. You can start tackling Hell Tides as early as level 1. Completing your first Hell Tide event could potentially boost you to between levels 15 and 20. depending on your class and whether you're playing solo or with a group.

Utilizing Treasures

While leveling, you might find many treasure chests. Initially, don't focus too much on these as gear will be quickly outdated. However, they still offer good XP and materials for crafting, so pick them up if they are convenient.

3. Mid-Leveling Strategy: Class Missions and Side Quests

As you approach levels 15 to 25. start focusing on class-specific missions. These missions not only advance your story but also unlock essential class features and abilities, enhancing your character's power. For example, the Spirit Born class can unlock abilities through the Sacred Hunt mission available in Nantu City.

Transitioning Through Hell Tides and Strongholds

Continuing with Hell Tides is viable, but also begin tackling strongholds around the map, especially new ones in the expansion zones. These not only provide XP but also help in clearing regions and gaining renown, which is beneficial for further character development and unlocking parts of the map.

4. Post-Level 60 and Beyond: Preparing for Endgame

Once you hit level 60. the game shifts focus towards enhancing your gear and preparing for high-tier content such as Torment levels and special dungeons. Initially, engage in activities like the Under City for better loot drops and the Pit levels to unlock Torment I, where higher rarity items begin to drop.

Optimizing Gear and Further Strategies

Start gathering gear with a level of 750 to prepare for Torment I. Participate in a mix of activities including Nightmare Dungeons and additional Hell Tides to maximize your loot potential. Make sure to also incorporate the Dark Citadel for coordinated raid experiences.

Utilizing Pets for Efficiency

Lastly, take advantage of the new pet system. A pet can assist in collecting items like crafting materials and gold, saving you time and effort. This feature needs to be activated for each new character, so remember to set it up as you start new adventures.

As we prepare for more updates and potentially new mechanics in Season 6, these strategies should equip you to level swiftly and effectively. Keep an eye out for further updates as we continue testing and refining our approaches based on the latest game changes.
