Tag: WoW TWW

The War Within is finally here and in full swing, but you may be wondering what there is to do when you've got the leveling portion of the journey out of the way. What is there to do at max 80 level in this new expansion? The answer is quite a lot, we probably have more to do at Endgame than we ever have before, but some of the options available to you might not be too obvious and some parts of Endgame are locked behind doing other content, so there are some things you'll want to get done as soon as you hit Level 80. Let's go over everything there is to do at max level and what we would recommend you get done first now!

The War Within 80 Level Must To Do List - Top 10+ Things To Do at Max Level

Not everything in WoW is about gear, and even if it is all about gear for you, Season 1 is still over a week away, and by now you've likely hit Level 80 and finished the campaign, so what to do now? There will be plenty of prepping for Mythic Gamers doing degenerate farming strategies for gear, but what if gearing's not your cup of tea, the good news is this expansion is quite packed especially now that the rest of things have opened up. The first few things on our list are going to be better if you sort them out now in the preseason, and then everything else is content you can chip away at any time you're logged in.

1. Campaign Completion

First and foremost, complete the main story campaign. It's a common pitfall to dive into dungeons or side quests for quick XP, but finishing the story campaign unlocks essential content such as World Quests, Allied Races, Adventure Mode, and continuation of the story at max level. Ensure you see the campaign through to the end to unlock these features.

2. Gearing Up

With the new season starting on September 10th, gearing up is crucial. Here’s how to enhance your item level efficiently:

Pre-season preparation: Before the season starts, focus on obtaining the best gear possible to ease your transition into the new raid and Mythic dungeons.

Weekly caches: Participate in weekly activities to earn caches containing high-level gear. Special weekly caches before the season starts will have item level 574 gear, which will be bumped up once the season begins.

Valor Stones and Crests: These are essential for upgrading your gear. Higher difficulties in endgame content will yield higher-tier crests necessary for these upgrades.

3. Farming Mounts

Mount farming is a top group activity. Players are tackling rares and organizing group finder farms for mounts like Sear and the Soaring Meadow Bee.

Sear's Barg: Kill the rare Tocat to start a quest, then farm Nerubian parts. Group up in caves for fast spawns or farm the Arakara dungeon.

Sizzling Cinder Pollen: Collect 900 from elite flame bees at the Meteor to buy a mount.

For RNG mounts, you have daily chances with:

Badar Spawn: Drops from rare Badar Spawn in Hall of Fall.

Regurgitated Molin: Found in the Lurker of the Deeps rare in the Ringing Deeps.

Dauntless Imperial Lynx: Obtainable from Imperial Supply satchels through Lamp Lighter objectives.

4. Doing Sidequests

This is the perfect time to work through all of the local stories and to fully immerse yourself in everything the game has to offer. You can choose to do these on your alternate characters to level them up, or you can complete them with your main character to achieve a sense of completeness. Either way, enhance your experience by turning up the music, dimming the lights, and diving into these excellent stories. For an even more immersive experience, use the dialogue UI, zoom in your camera a bit more, and lose yourself in what is honestly a pretty gorgeous game filled with many high-quality quests.

5. Renown Farming with New Factions

There are four new factions in "The War Within," each providing unique rewards through their Renown tracks:

Reputation gains: Increase your Renown by completing story quests, side quests, World Quests, world events, and killing rare enemies. Contracts are also available for bonus reputation but can be costly.

Rewards: Unlock new content and items, including high-level gear up to item level 597.

6. Professions

Professions offer a diverse gameplay experience and can be a significant source of income or gear. Start by crafting up to item level 558 gear, then use Soul Sigils and Weathered Crests to craft higher-level gear. If you’re not into crafting, you can place orders to have items crafted for you, though this may cost a substantial amount of gold.

Cooking: Level up your cooking to create hearty meals that persist through death. Reach Level 25 cooking to upgrade any Calgar meal. This prevents losing your food buff during challenging content. For feasts, you need to be Level 75 cooking, and it requires 10 feasts to make a hearty version.

Fishing: Fishing has a new progression system called the Algar Weaver line. Participate in the fishing derby in Hall of Fall every Saturday for a chance to win a fish mount and cosmetics. Improve your fishing skill to maximize your rewards.

6. Delves

Delves, particularly once the season is in full swing, can become a more intense affair due to the higher difficulties available. However, now is an excellent time to explore all the different variants without the added pressure of a high-tier, death-count challenge.

The way Delves operates is that they cycle their objectives every single day. Sometimes, the objectives can be as simple as clicking different items; other times, new routes may open up, introducing new enemies and even new abilities to assist you. Currently, this is a great opportunity to experiment with all the cool variants, level up your brand a bit to better handle higher tiers, and, of course, complete all the achievements associated with finding chests.

Completing these achievements will earn you a title, "Seeker of Loot," which, while perhaps a nod to those familiar with the wilder aspects of gaming, is a nice accolade to have nonetheless.

7. Azj-Kahet Activities

Azj-Kahet, while not exactly Surar 2, shares some noticeable similarities, particularly as an endgame zone with intricate mechanics. One of the key weekly activities involves establishing a pact with one of the three leaders from the Separate Threads faction. Once you've chosen your leader, you'll engage in leader-specific activities known as "rumors." To participate, simply purchase a map for 25 cat, use it, and then go and uncover the rumor. These activities can include tasks like assassination and theft, all while evading the guards. It's an engaging way to spend your time.

The side activities vary depending on the leader. For instance, the Weaver introduces you to little weave rats that help you locate caches of C. The General involves you dueling one of his aspirants, although this can be somewhat buggy. The Vizier tasks you with finding ancient Kahti artifacts. While these activities are more about fun than revolution, each contributes to acquiring useful items and cosmetics across the zone. For example, the polymorphic translation potions are essential for completing some of the book reading achievements.

And a note for the high achievers: someone will be the first to acquire the nearly 9 million CED Queen's pheromones. If you've managed to get your hands on the Queen's pheromones, congratulations—you've truly earned it.

8. Work on Checklists

Complete Skyriding races, adventurer, and treasure achievements. Each zone has unique races with normal, advanced, and reverse variants, which are both challenging and engaging. Completing these gives you Renown progress and unlocks cosmetics.

9. Collecting Lorebooks

Blizzard has focused on lorebooks this expansion. Achievements are available for interacting with these high-quality lore sources, offering a deeper understanding of the zones. Use the new add-on by Keyboardturn to track them without cluttering your bags.

10. Start Working on Your Alts

If you're looking for a change of pace or want to maximize your weekly questing capabilities, consider leveling up alts. The War Within makes leveling alts faster and more efficient, especially through methods like dungeon spamming.

11. Engage in Weekly In-Game Events

Keep an eye on the in-game calendar for weekly events and holidays that offer additional rewards like reputation and experience gains. Events like the Dark Moon Fair can provide timely boosts to your farming efforts.

12. PvP

With a new battleground and solo-rated battlegrounds launching, now's a great time to dive into PvP. Engage in war mode for an old-school World of Warcraft experience, battling in the open world or enjoying structured battlegrounds.

Maxing out at Level 80 in The War Within opens up a plethora of activities and opportunities. From gearing up to diving into new delves, farming for mounts, or mastering professions, there’s no shortage of content to keep you engaged. Make sure to plan your activities to make the most out of every session in the game.
