Season of Discovery Phase 2 Gnomeregan Tier List & Loot Table

3/1/2024 9:16:19 AM

The Season of Discovery Phase 2 class buffs have brought about significant class changes in WoW Classic that have shifted the meta for raiding Gnomeregan. Read our SoD Phase 2 Gnomeregan tier list & loot table.

Season of Discovery Gnomeregan DPS, Healer & Tank Tier List

S Tier

  • Fire Mage

Fire Mage is the top DPS Gnome spec in WoW Classic SoD Phase 2 without question. Melee Hunter is dead so that means Fire is King, so he's at the top of S tier.

  • Protection Paladin

Protection Paladin is one of the highest threats in Season of Discovery Gnomeregan raid. Not only they can AoE, but also they are the only class in the alliance that can comfortably solo tank  Gnomeregan. No changes after class buffs, they are still amazing. So Protection Paladin goes straight to the S tier on this SoD Phase 2 Gnome tier list.

  • Restoration Shaman

Restoration Shaman got a small buff which is not a huge buff but Restoration Shamans are excellent. They got chain heal and all the utility that all the other Shamans get. People run Restoration Shamans all the time because they are excellent.

  • Destruction Warlock

Warlock has a similar problem to the Rogue and he only has one viable spec. Destruction Warlock is an excellent spec, is the the third-best DPS probably going to be the second one now. He is right behind the Fire Mage damage charts and Warlocks are just amazing as they provide all the casters need. You need to take a Warlock in the raid because they are amazing!

A Tier

  • Survival Hunter

Survival Hunter used to be at the top of WoW Season of Discovery Gnomeregan tier list. Now, they got a 10% DPS nerf because of the nerf. Now they are going to be comfortably right ahead of the Shadow Priest on the A tier. They are still going to be very dominant, very good, very competent, and nobody's going to going to be mad that there's a melee Hunter in the raid at all. But they are not broken.

  • Shadow Priest

Shadow Priest became a decent AoE and single-target spec. It is still not the best Season of Discovery Gnomeregan spec. It's fourth DPS but it's pretty high up. All three specs of the Priest are killing it right now!

  • Discipline Priest

The Discipline Priests are good both in PvE and PvP. The only problem is they don't have a lot of mana but the thing is as the tier progresses and guilds get better at killing the stuff, they die faster. They take less damage from the AoE as the guild gets better, Discipline is going to be better and better. Discipline Priest probably going to be the meta.

  • Holy Priest

Holy Priest has a higher scaling so we might see more of that.

  • Enhancement Shaman

Enhancement was 10 DPS behind on elemental and 20% attack power. There's one thing for sure and that is Enhancement is going to get much better than Elemental.

  • Elemental Shaman

Elemental is getting a huge buff in the mana generation. Elemental is about to be better than the Balance Druid because of mana and utility, moreover, they can bring Windfury Totem now. Since Feral Druids are bad, we are going to see a lot of Elemental Shamans going up. Not to mention, they also got the spirit of the alpha buff which now increases attack power. They are great that’s why we're going to put them here in S tier on this WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2 Gnome ranking!

  • Arms Warrior

Warrior has no buffs because Blizzard is terrified of what's going to happen. Warriors are going to be doing 10% more damage to the boss. That doesn't mean 10%, it means more because that affects rage generation. Warriors are going to be performing about 15% better on this 20% % depending on the gear that they have. That's going to take him up a notch, however they are in the middle. All the other fights, they are still going to be pretty bad for it. There is always a need for a Warrior. They are great utility especially when people transition to solo tanking you always want to bring a Warrior to help with the trash and with the tank mechanics and so on. So we're going to put them on A tier on this WoW SoD Gnomeregan tier list even if their damage doesn't reflect it yet.

  • Restoration Druid

Restoration Druid not only was already a really good healing class now it got buffed to hell. The life bloom buff is insane and that's going to make them one of the best Gnomeregan healers in WoW Season of Discovery phase 2. They're going to be very desirable right now even more than before.

  • Arcane Mage

Arcane Mage can off-heal very competently and there is a lot of utility in that. Arcane Mage can also go full healer. It is decent and flexible in that situation. If you are Arcane, you can go from healer to DPS depending on what the fight requires. For example, you see a lot of top guilds having an Arcane Mage DPS and then the Arcane Mage during mechanical Menagerie which is the hardest fight to heal in the raid. He's going to off-heal that fight and then go back to DPS. Very utility.

B Tier

  • Holy Paladin

Nobody's going to complain that they got a Holy Paladin in the raid. Holy Paladin is neither great nor good.

  • Retribution Paladin

Retribution Paladin is still mediocre. We don't know how much Crusader Strike is going to impact them but it's not going to be a huge deal. 5% more DPS still makes them pretty mediocre.

  • Assassination Rogue

Assassination Rogue is the only real valuable spec that people play is Assassin. He’s just okay, not even great.

  • Balance Druid

Balance Druid is getting some nice mana buffs and a little Moonfire buff which is probably not going to be a huge change to their DPS. Balance Druid is just mediocre. The only thing that why is he here is because we have so many broken casters that the 3% crit actually matters.

  • Protection Warrior

Prot Warriors are okay, although they are nowhere near the Paladin or the Shaman, they are so much better than the Bear. They are workable, there are many guilds solo tank with Warrior so we’re going to put them on B.

  • Feral Druid

The Feral cat does mediocre damage, one redeeming utility and one redeeming quality which was that they could give Wind Fury to the raid is now with Shamans. So if you're in the Horde, the Feral Druid is trash. If you're Alliance, the Feral Druid is A-tier spec for sure. Therefore, we’re going to put it in the middle as a compromise.

  • Beast Mastery Hunter

This one is a little complex because not a lot of people play it. Their damage is around in the middle, slightly better than Marksmanship as a matter of fact but is still not great.

  • Marksmanship Hunter

Marksmanship should be in the B tier too.

C Tier

  • Demonology Warlock

Demonology Warlock is just C.

F Tier

  • Frost Mage: Frost Mage is useless. There’s no reason to play a Frost Mage over any other spec in the game right?

  • Combat Rogue

  • Sublety Rogue

  • Affliction Warlock

  • Fury Warrior

  • Feral Tank: Feral tank is completely off because they buff them. It didn't matter the buffs, it didn't affect any of the core issues. As a tank, they are too squishy and their threat is garbage. They only got a decent threat every 3 minutes when they got capped for 15 seconds and then he back to garbage. Feral tank is unplayable.
