Diablo 4 Season 2 Rogue Build Guide - Top 3 Best Rogue Builds in D4 1.2

If you are looking to do the same and specifically want to go for a Rogue this season, you may well be wondering what has changed and what the ideal path is to start off your gameplay situation, the initial 50 levels or so of your game time will be smaller than the 50 to 100 section. But it is important to get started when trying a new class. You can always use whatever abilities you think are cool but everyone knows the real game the real builds and the real fun synergies all start unlocking when you hit higher world tiers. First, we're going to go over the D4 1.2 best Rogue leveling build to get yourself up to level 50 in season 2. Next, we’re going to be showing you how to absolutely blast in season 2 with Rogue for not only leveling but also going over some early endgame build ideas.

1. D4 Season 2 Best Rogue Build For Leveling

This is a new Diablo IV season 2 Twisting Blades focused build that can level up fast from 1 to 50. As far as playing the build for yourself then this one is really quite simple. Poison trap functions sort of as a damaged cooldown, shadow imbuement is great when you see a nice big group of enemies. Dark shroud always should be active if possible. Aside from that, it's just a dash if you need to for movement. Puncture if you don't have high energy. Twisting blades if you do have high energy and try your best to stay mobile as much as possible in combat 2. It's not too complicated. This build works in a couple of different synergies as well using passive skills and especially synergies with the vampiric powers that we're going to get within this season.

Rogue Build Skills

Basic Skills: 1 Puncture (Enhanced)

Core Skills: 5 Twisting Blades (Enhanced, Improved), Fundamental Puncture, 3 Sturdy, 3 Stutter Step, 3 Siphoning Strikes

Agility Skills: 1 Dash (Enhanced, Discipline), 3 Concussive, 2 Rapid Gambits, 1 Trick Attacks, 3 Weapon Mastery

Subterfuge Skills: 1 Poison Trap (Enhanced, Countering), 1 Dark Shroud (Enhanced, Subverting), 3 Exploit, 3 Malice

Imbuement Skills: 1 Shadow Imbuement (Enhanced, Blended),  1 Shadow Crash, 3 Consuming Shadows

Ultimate Skills: 3 Trap Mastery, 1 Adrenaline Rush, 3 Haste

Key Passive: Momentum

Rogue Build Specializations

The best 1 by far for this Diablo 4 season 2 Rogue build in this style is Inner Sight. This marks a random enemy on your screen and builds up a gauge as you do damage. Once the gauge is full, you get unlimited energy for 4 seconds. The only thing stopping this build even early on is energy management and Inner Sight helps quite a fair bit with this. Not to mention the massive burst damage period that you get whenever the unlimited energy buff triggers.

Rogue Build Legendaries

We are only covering three slots as this is a level 1 to 50 build and the only three pieces of gear that aren't really detrimental to avoid swap out are your rings and amulet which serve excellently as legendary holders for the early game.

  • Amulet: Bladedancer’s Choker

On your amulet then for a bonus 50% effectiveness, we have the Bladedancer aspect. This makes your twisting blades orbit you for a brief period after they return doing damage based on the return damage of the blades itself and depending on the distance that it traveled, the damage increases even more. This just massively boosts your damage output as a twisting blade focus build because you're going to be shoving your twisting blades every which way while moving quickly through the battlefield.

  • Ring: Edgemaster’s Circle

This gives you up to 20% bonus damage depending on how much of your resource is full when you cast a skill. Ideally, our goal is to always cast twisting blades with full energy to make the most out of this.

  • Ring: Ravenous Circle

This makes energy regen increase by up to 70% for 4 seconds after you kill a vulnerable enemy.

Rogue Build Vampiric Powers

1. Accursed Touch (6 Divinity)

The best Vampiric Power for Rogue is almost definitely the combo of Accursed Touch. A major power for 6 divinity packs that gives you a 44% lucky hit chance to inflict a vampiric curse on enemies. This gives the enemies a chance to spread the curse as well and increase the damage of Accursed Souls which is something that you build up by using the vampiric curse mechanic.

2. Prey on the Weak (2 Ferocity)

This gives you a 16% damage bonus against enemies that are vulnerable and it makes any enemy that is affected by vampiric curses also become vulnerable that combined with our other sources should create near-full vulnerable uptime on most enemies.

3. Ravenous (3 Ferocity)

Lucky hit a 20% chance to increase your attack speed by 40% of your total movement speed which is obviously great for us. We have a lot of movement speed, we have attack speed and we get a ton of bonus movement speed even early on to make this quite strong.

4. Metamorphosis (2 Ferocity, 2 Divinity, 2 Eternity)

We have our second back major vampiric power for this build which is Metamorphosis 2 ferocity packs, 2 divinity packs, and 2 eternity packs. When evading you turn into a cloud of bats becoming unstoppable for 4 seconds and inflicting a vampiric curse on enemies in the evade path. The unstoppable granted by this is absolutely fantastic. Especially with our inbuilt evade cooldown reductions within this build.

5. Terror (1 Ferocity, 1 Divinity, 1 Eternity)

For offense, there is the Terror power for 1 ferocity, 1 Divinity, and 1 Eternity pack. When struck, you have a 14% chance to fear all nearby enemies and also slow them by 80% for 2 seconds and you have guaranteed critical strikes on feared enemies. This just works for us with the synergy of crits and our ability to slow enemies.

No. 2 D4 S2 Best Rogue Leveling Build

Rogue is just as good as it's ever been and it will probably have the single best build in the entire game in the late game because of poison and damage over time stuff just relatively becoming significantly stronger and the poison build is not only did not get nerfed but it actually got buffed. It was already one of the highest damage output builds in the entire game and it will be the single best build in the entire game, so Rogue is a fantastic class to choose. For leveling, it's an absolute blaster probably the second-fastest class to level up with.

Rogue Build Skills

  • Basic Skills: 1 Puncture (Enhanced, Fundamental)

  • Core Skills: 5 Twisting Blades (Enhanced, Advanced), 3 Sturdy

  • Agility Skills: 1 Dash, 1 Shadow Step (Enhanced), 3 Weapon Mastery, 3 Concussive

  • Subterfuge Skills: 1 Poison Trap (Enhanced, Countering), 3 Exploit, 3 Malice, 2 Agile

  • Imbuement Skills: 5 Shadow Imbuement (Enhanced, Blended),  1 Shadow Crash, 3 Consuming Shadows, 3 Precision Imbuement

  • Ultimate Skills: 3 Innervation, 1 Adrenaline Rush, 3 Haste, 3 Trap Mastery

  • Key Passive: Momentum (Early) / Close Quarters Combat (Late Game)

Rogue Build Specializations

If you want to play with Inner Sight or Combo Points for this best Diablo 4 season 2 best Rogue Leveling build, it really is entirely up to you. Inner Sight is really good when you have a ton of attack speed. But early on into the game especially if you're playing with a group, you may need the additional damage that Combo Points gives you and it also does give you 100% movement speed when you use twisting blade that have a 3 Combo Point. Just feel free to use whatever.

Rogue Build Legendaries

  • Gloves: Runic Gloves Repeating

  • Boots: Wind Striker Adventurer’s Boosts

  • Crossbow: Warcaster of Corruption

  • Dual-Wield Weapon: Condemnation, Asheara’s Khanjar

  • Ring: Accelerating Band, Circle of the Expectant

Outside of that, just look for pretty normal stuff. Remember that crit damage and vulnerable damage got nerfed pretty heavily, so just look for stuff like damage to close enemies maybe damage to crowd control, straight up dexterity is very good. We recommend avoiding crit damage on your gear but vulnerable damage is still pretty decent.

No. 3 D4 Season 2 Best Rogue Endgame Build

Around level 40 to 45 is when we recommend going and doing the Capstone dungeon. If you want to do the Capstone dungeon under-leveled, we would recommend just swapping out Shadow Imbuement entirely. Shadow Imbuement is very good for underdeveloped stuff even because it is a lot of extra damage but you're just going to need more single-target damage and building into Poison Imbuement is going to be pretty good. Go into Blended and just max out Poison Imbuement and then you could go into Deadly Venom and then 3 points into Debilitating Toxins. So enemies deal less damage to you and that's pretty much all you would need to change. You’ll have more damage against individual enemies that are going to be really tanky early on in the game.

Once you finish the Capstone dungeon, we would not recommend staying as poison. The reason for this is because poison is not going to have any AOE clear and you're just going to level up really slowly. Therefore, the best thing you can do is go back into Shadow Imbuement and just take the points out of here. Shadow Imbuement obviously is just insane for the energy generation and because you can kill enemies very quickly they're just going to be blowing up and doing massive AOE for you. Poison Imbuement is insane if we can not only scale its AOE.

The best D4 season 2 Endgame Rogue build is using the second leveling build that we showed you. Once you get to the Capstone, swap the poison, kill the boss, swap off the poison, and go with Death Trap paired with Exposure and go double Shadow. Around level 70 or 75, once you start getting all the stuff for poison to work, try to mix in poison. Potentially keep death trap and mix in poison just for the massive single target damage.
