Players can earn D4 gold, loot, and even upgrade their Paragon Glyphs quickly and easily by completing Nightmare Dungeons. Therefore, it's important to know what's the best Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo IV after the big patch. There was a massive buff to XP gained in Nightmare Dungeon, they buffed the monster and the end-of-run experience by 80%. You can now teleport in front of the dungeon by clicking on the icon on the world map. This is a massive improvement for Nightmare Dungeon and it's actually incredible how much faster you can farm XP. D4 1.0.3 Best Nightmare Dungeons to Farm
Times benchmarked with Rapid Fire Rogue ~lvl 80 farming monsters +3-6 levels, usually (near) full clearing. Times may be a bit off due to lack of data and different tiers/modifiers, need to be benchmarked better in future normal dungeon runs.
Travel time was mildly considered, in some cases dungeons get a bonus for EXP/Glyph ranking if they have very short distances or a malus for very long distances. Ranking changes a bit if you can run multiple of the same sigils in a row (e.g. Dark Ravine is good if you can chain it).
In addition, slower builds or slower paced gameplay lead to long travel distances having less of an impact. The ranking is based on pretty fast clears with a good build where travel time matters a lot.
For XP, the danger/difficulty of a dungeon was not considered. For this ranking it's expected you rush through any dungeon no problem.
For Glyphs, some dungeons can be shortcut and done much faster like Aldurwood, which is why they have a bonus on Glyph ranking compared to other similar times. Group split farming e.g. in Zenith or Champion's Demise was not considered.
For push, dungeons get a malus for having an event because they are one of the biggest obstacles. Ghosts and other dangerous mob types or in some cases individual objective elites also lead to a bad rating.
Big open maps or monsters that can be dodged or spread out for small fights are advantageous. Because this is extremely build and player skill dependant, your mileage may vary.
For group farm, dungeons get a bonus or malus depending on how much they can be sped up by splitting up for completing objectives. E.g. collecting 3 Bloodstones in Zenith or Champion's Demise is massively faster because it can be done simultaneously.
