To make your class die as little as possible, we’ll walk you through this Diablo 4 Druid tank build with all details, covering the best skills, stats, gear, gems, aspects, uniques, spirit boons, and paragon board with glyphs.


Best Diablo 4 Druid Tank Build - Pulverize Werebear Druid Build Guide in D4 Launch

This Pulverize Werebear Druid is pretty tanky with a combo of some great skills, aspects, and stacking fortify, you can check out the full setup of the D4 Launch Druid tank build by Carthh, from skills, gear, the class mechanic to the paragon system.

1. Skills

- Basic skills: Maul

Start with the Maul to use these Werebear skills and go all the way to Fierce Maul, the increased range and radius make it much more playable.

- Core skills: Pulverize, Wild Impulses, Predatory Instinct, Iron Fur

For the main skill, max out your Pulverize, every 12 seconds that you remain healthy you'll get an overpower and then you can choose either Raging or Primal Pulverize, the latter one deals 20% reduced damage, there are lots of ways to reduce damage in this build. Put 3 points on Wild Impulses, Predatory Instinct, and Iron Fur.

- Defensive skills: Cyclone Armor, Debilitating Roar

Have Cyclone Armor maxed out for the beginning part of the build when we're just on aspects, we're going to have an aspect that also gives us physical damage reduction, go all the way with Preserving Cyclone Armor, every 10 seconds, every 10 seconds you'll get a buff that when you get hit for the next two seconds you'll take 30 damage reduction.

- Wrath skills: Trample, Crushing Earth, Stone Guard, Safeguard, Mending, Provocation

Trample is a movement skill that makes you nice to move around, the Enhanced Trample offers a solid damage boost, but it is not necessary. Crushing Earth is where the Earth skills coming into effect, the Pulverize will be in Earth skill and it'll be fortifying us.

- Ultimate skills: Grizzly Rage, Defiance, Circle of Life, Resonance, Earthen Might

Finally, the Ultimate skill Grizzly Rage is the main focus of this Pulverize Werebear build, you go into a Dire Werebear for 10 seconds, you gain 20 bonus damage and 20 damage reduction, every second your damage bonus goes up by three percent and this will last up to 10 seconds and then plus one second for kill up to an additional 20 seconds. You are unstoppable while grizzly rage is active, meaning you cannot be crowd controlled in any way. As you changed the Pulverize to an Earth skill, you will be able to use Earthen Might, whenever you hit, you have a lucky hit chance to restore all of your spirits and make all of your attacks critical strikes for the next five seconds, critical strikes also increase the chance to proc furthermore.


2. Stats

For this Pulverize Werebear Druid build, Willpower is the main stat, Movement Speed, Resource Cost Reduction you can get on gear to keep up your Pulverize, Cooldown Reduction will be really good, you can look for plus ranks on your skills, you can also look for plus two defensive skills because of Debilitating Roar and Cyclone Armor.

1)Best Aspects

In terms of choosing the D4 gear, what are the best aspects of this D4 Pulverize Werebear Druid build? The Aspect of the Ursine Horror makes it so that Pulverize is now an earth skill, this also means that it will be a nature skill. Then the Aspect of Quicksand is going to pull lots of synergies together, damage from earth skills slows enemies hit by 50 up to five seconds, and with the gem on the weapon, you gain Critical Strike damage to crowd-controlled enemies, on the skill tree, the Crushing Earth is bonus damage to slowed targets, on the Paragon board, Earthen Devastation makes your earth skills deal 30 increase damage to enemies afflicted by crowd control, that's activating all of these. The most important aspect of this Druid tank build is Aspect of the Umbral, if you have this all the way maxed out, anytime you crowd control an enemy you'll gain 1-4 of your primary resources, so if you hit 10 enemies with pulverize which casts 35 spirits, you're going to be gaining back 40 spirits, this is going to keep your resource.

- Jewelry: Diamond, 8% resistance to all elements.


4. Spirit Boons

- Deer: Wariness. You can always take this on any Druid build. It takes 10% reduced damage from elites.

- Eagle: Scythe Talons, Swooping Attacks, or Avian Wrath.

- Wolf: Calamity.

- Snake: Obsidian Slam, Masochistic, or Calm Before the Storm.


5. Paragon Board (Best Nodes and Glyphs)

What nodes and glyphs are good for this Druid tank build in Diablo IV?

- Spirit (Rare Glyph): your core skills do more damage and then whenever you crit, it increases the damage enemy takes from you by two percent up to 12 for 20 seconds, this synergizes really well with Pulverize.

- Fang and Claw (Rare Glyph): it buffs all your magic nodes and radius, also, while in Werebear form, close enemies will take 12 increased damage from you. 

- Werebear (Rare Glyph): you gain 10 damage reduction while in Werebear, then the bonus is each willpower will give you two percent increased damage.

- Territorial (Rare Glyph): 10 damage reduction against close enemies, you're always going to be up close against the enemies. 

- Undaunted (Rare Glyph): you gain 10 damage reduction the more fortify you have.

- Survival Instincts (Legendary Node): while in Werebear form, you deal one percent increased damage up to 50%, for every one percent difference in current life percent between you and the enemy.

- Ancestral Guidance (Legendary Node): after spending 75 Spirit, you deal 30 increase damage for five seconds, this works really well with the Quicksand plus Umbral aspects.

- Earthen Devastation (Legendary Node): earth skills deal 30% increased damage to enemies afflicted by crowd control.
