In order to farm dungeons and defeat bosses easily in Diablo IV, the damage your character build deals matters. At this point, about three weeks away from the game release, we are going to go through five Diablo 4 highest DPS & best leveling builds (at launch) with skills and tips to play them.

Based on the experiment with a ton of different builds in Diablo IV beta, here are some of the best D4 builds recommended for their high damage. Thanks to KrillinTF, let’s go over five Diablo 4 DPS builds for each class, along with the skill tree for leveling and the way to max out the damage.

No. 1 Diablo 4 Barbarian DPS Build - D4 Upheaval Barb Leveling Build

Starting with the best leveling and DPS build for the Diablo IV Barbarian class, this is an Upheaval Barbarian Build, to play this build, the main skills it utilizes include Flay, Upheaval, Leap, Rallying Cry, War Cry, Death Blow, and Call of the Ancients. You simply use Flay to build fury and apply vulnerability and then cast a person as your burst DPS on high-density mob packs, elites or bosses, use Leap for positioning and extra fury regeneration, and also be sure to keep optimal uptime on all your shots as that boosts your damage and your defense, Death Blow is a great way to gain fury when used on low health mobs because it resets its cooldown on kill and offers 20 fury per cast, use this strategically when fighting hard to kill elites and bosses, be sure to utilize your ultimate Call of the Ancients for more single target damage, this is one of the strongest D4 Barb build, it will easy to reach max level and farm endgame content because the damage is insanely powerful.

No. 2 Diablo 4 Necromancer DPS Build - D4 Corpse Explosion Necro Leveling Build

The next D4 DPS build is going to be a Corpse Explosion Necromancer build, it is absolutely destructive with great survivability, it utilizes skills including Hemorrhage, Blood Surge, Corpse Explosion, Decrepify, Corpse Tendrils, and Blood Wave. It’s simple to play this build, you cast Blood Surge to DPS and then run around and collect the blood orbs, then use Hemorrhage for more DPS and corpses, next, cast a Decrepify to apply a debuff, you just spam Corpse Explosion when you're using Corpse Tendrils, it allows you to put all the monsters into a close area for maximum DPS and monster positioning, ultimate skills aren't entirely necessary with this build, but if you decide you want one, be sure to utilize Blood Wave for extra DPS and extra survivability. This Necro build is extremely overpowered, but you need to be aware of positioning and make sure to have corpses.

No. 3 Diablo 4 Sorcerer DPS Build - D4 Lightning Hydra Sorc Leveling Build

The Sorcerer DPS build here is the Lightning Hydra build, this is extremely strong and it utilizes Arc Lash, Chain Lightning, Teleport, Hydra, Fireball in your enchantment slot, Ice Armor, and then Frost Nova. Playing this build is very easy, you drop your hydras and you cut around getting enemies to gather together allowing the Fireballs enchantment effect to have its maximum efficiency, then cast Frost Nova to crowd control and apply vulnerability and spam Chain Lightning, be sure to use Ice Armor when you need a defensive and teleport to position yourself, this Sorc build in Diablo IV definitely favors density as the AOE is quite insane, it is an excellent build for leveling and both of the early and end game farming.

The fourth build is a Tornado Druid, it utilizes Wind Shear, Tornado, Earthen Bulwark, Tornado, Wolves, and Hurricane, the remaining skill slot is up to you. This Druid DPS build is fun to play, you use Wind Shear to regen large amounts of spirit and then cast Tornado, keep in mind the tornadoes have to be aimed and can hit or miss a target depending on their trajectory, they also cost large amounts of spirit, so at first this builds damage output is a bit low, use Earthen Bulwark as your defensive as it makes you immune to crowd control and gives you a damage absorption shield, Trample doubles as a movement skill and a crowd control immunity skill, use it wisely keep your Wolves up as often as you can for increased DPS and a buffer for enemy damage and use Hurricane for big damage in large density areas or for elites and bosses. It is going to be a great starter for farming dungeons and D4 gold in early and end-game.

The last DPS build is for the Rogue class, this Twisting Blades Rogue build is incredibly powerful, but it requires a really good sense of character position. It utilizes Puncture, Twisting Blades, Dash, Shadow Step, Smoke Grenade, Shadow Imbuement, and ultimate Shadow Clone. How to play this Rogue build in Diablo 4? To start, use Puncture to apply vulnerable and build energy, cast Twisting Blades, and be sure to position yourself, so the blades pierce the enemies upon returning to you, Dash gives you two charges to move around quickly and Shadow Step gives you the ability to move around via teleportation, Shadow Imbuement increases your core skills damage and adds extra effects, utilize Smoke Grenade as a defensive and be sure to use Shadow Clone for more DPS on bosses and elites. You have to be vigilant of your positioning to maximize your damage output.
