WoW Dragonflight’s Embers of Neltharion update brought in a ton of new contents for players to dive into, including the new enemies, items, and a new faction Loamm Niffen. Similar to other renown factions in Dragonflight, the Loamm Niffen have 20 renown levels, each offering valuable and unique rewards. These rewards include a variety of benefits that increase your gains from activities in Zaralek Caverns, as well as exciting and fun rewards including Drakerider Manuscripts, cosmetic gear, battle pets, and toys. 

Here’s how to gain reputation with Loamm Niffen WoW Dragonflight Season 2 patch 10.1, reaching renown 20 in no time!

1. Main Campaign

Once you begin the first chapter of the Embers of Neltharion campaign, you will soon meet with Elder Honeypelt and completing a few more quests down the line will take you too long. The quest which takes you there is called smells like loam and will reward 2500 reputation with them. 

2. World Quests

The first thing you want to do when you arrive to Loamm is to unlock the world quests in Zaralek Cavern. You can do that by following the main storyline, and once you complete the quest 600 feet under, you will gain access to the outdoor activities in the zone. Don't forget to complete it as soon as you arrive at Zaralek Cavern, so you don't miss out on any activity. Completing a normal world quest in Zaralek Cavern rewards 75 reputation while an elite world quest will reward 175 reputation. Some world quests will give additional reputation as bonus reward when completed. 

Speaking of world quests, you can use a contract with Loamm Niffen to get a bit of extra reputation with them when completing any dragon Isles world quest. This includes all the original dragon Isles zones, so you could potentially clear out all the world quests from there. You can get this contract from a scribe and more easily through the auction house. The contract has 3 ranks as do most of the professional items in this expansion. The higher the rank, the more reputation you will receive. Rank 3 rewards 15 rep for each world quest you complete. It will be quite expensive especially early in the patch as it does require a bit of effort to craft it. If you are a scrub yourself, what you need to do is to buy the recipe from the inscription vendor in Loamm Niffen. It will cost you one Glimmerogg Timeshare Voucher, an item which can be bought from Ponzo in Loamm for 80 barter bricks. Barter brick is a new type of currency which unlocks once you reach renown level 3 with Loamm Niffen, and can be used to buy various items from Ponzo.

3. World Objectives (Events)

Besides world quests, Zaralek Cavern has many objectives to complete. These objectives are very similar to world quests with the difference that these are more like zone events and can be completed with the aid of other people, no matter if you are in the same group or not.  Completing an event will reward you with a blue or a purple pouch. The rare pouch contains a Loamm Niffen commendation token which awards 25 reputation. On the other hand, the Epic pouch will contain a token of 50 rep among other useful staff.

4. Researchers Under Fire

There is also a weekly event in central Zaralek Cavern which is called Researchers Under Fire. In this event, you made the Dragonscale Expedition and Niffen by completing various tasks. According to wowhead, the end reward will depend on how many tasks you complete during phase 1 and it gives a good amount of reputation at least 250. 

5. A Worthy Ally Weekly Quest

In addition to that, there is also a weekly Quest called A Worthy Ally. This quest is offered by Mimuup in the main heart of Loamm. It requires farming 1500 reputation with Loamm Niffen and rewards 500 reputation when you completed. So make sure you pick it up every week before you start clearing them up.

6. Sniffsneeking

Another fun activity that awards reputation with an event is sniffsneeking. In this new mini game, you can go cave diving with merit in search of treasure. Completing the first chapter of the campaign will unlock sniffsneeking and the quest called the body system in which you will go your first dig with merit, Completing this quest rewards 125 reputation with an event and from there when you complete a sniffsneeking dig can reward you with 250 reputation. Each week, merit offers one free dig and you can find another two for a total of 3 per week. You can buy a Batered Dig Map from Ponzo once a week and you can also find the lost dig map from the weekly quest A Worthy Ally.

7. Profession Quests

Once you reach Renown 3 with an event, you will also unlock daily professional quests in Valdrakken. Enchanted with Topuiz and Ink Master quests reward 5 barter bricks each, and the Ballistae Bits, Relic Rustler are tied to your two main professions and also rewards 75 reputation per quest.

8. Side Questlines

In Zaralek Cavern, there are also some side questlines which in the end give a good amount of Niffen reputation besides the main campaign. This is a one-time thing though and some of them might be visible on the map, but some might not be. There is one quest here at Loamm and another two additional short questlines outside of Loamm. They can be literally done in 5 minutes and they each reward you with 1000 reputation tokens. You can always save those tokens and use them when Darkmoon faires up. There are more hidden quests out there, so make sure you complete all the quests you encounter in zone as they will definitely pay off. Same goes for the main campaign, finish it all.

Dragonflight 10.1 Loamm Niffen Renown Rewards Season 2

Now you might be wondering why you should go into all of this trouble to grind renown levels with these unusual creatures. You do want to help them out anyway since they are the cutest little creatures but you would like to get something in return. There are a bunch of rewards to earn including flightstones and kris which are crafting reagent for upgrading Season 2 gear. You can also unlock Snail Racing activities and upgrades to the sniffsneeking minigame. Moreover, there are a few gear pieces to collect, quite good for catch-up gear, Drakewatcher Manuscripts and even Professional Knowledge points. In addition to that for any collectors out there, you get two pets, a black Dragonflgiht themed transmog set, mount and Niffen tools. Reaching renown level 20 awards the title smelly and gives an enchanted shadowflame Wyrm’s Crest, a crafting reagent which is used to craft and gear piece, up to 437 item level equal to heroic raid item level. A tiny snail called Newsy will appear when you unlock a new reward with a Niffen, reminding you to go visit Loamm to obtain the goodies that awaits you. Niffen are so fun and interesting but they produce a lot of sniffin sounds and they might become a bit annoying for some of you.
