Best Layups
Post Animations
Post Fade: Kobe Bryant (Best for big man)

Post Hop Shot: Kobe Bryant
Layup Style
Default Small, Kyrie Irving, Ja Morant (Best for Small Guard)
Long Athlete, Ja Moran, Circus (Best for 6'5 to 6'9)
Long Athlete (Best for Big Man)
Now let's take a look at the best dribble animations you should take a try in NBA 2K23 Season 4:
Dribble Style
Stephen Curry (Fastest, Best For 92)
Ja Morant (Fastest, Best For 75)
Michael Jordan (Best For 80)
Kobe Bryant (Best For 88)
Signature Size-Up
Derrick Rose - It is very Overpowered because quick chain alongside it, you could get the fastest speed boost. Now it's not going to be as fast when you use certain dribble Styles, certain escapes are going to be a little bit stiffer, but you do still get probably some of the fastest speed boost out of it. Now you do probably get better combos though with Trey young and Steve Francis.
Kyrie Irving - Kyrie Irving is definitely up there with those other three as well, so those are the ones we would probably recommend the most but you got to understand these are all for under six for five.
Tracy McGrady - So if you're not using those above, we would say Tracy McGrady that's one that you need 85 and be under 610. If you're not using that, go with De'Aaron Fox, and after that, you can go with like some of the Luka Doncic.
Cade Cunningham - Under 75, probably Cade Cunningham is a decent one for a 6'5 to 6'9 height build.
Size-Up Escape Package
Damian Lillard / Kyrie Irving - The only builds Damian Lillard is going to be really still good on is like 6'7", because you can't get a 92 ball hit on the 6'7", you only can get up to a 90. So Kyrie and Dame are still going to be the best no.
Stephen Curry / Trey Young - When it comes to the totality of the game, the best size of Escape package in the game is Stephen Curry or Trey young. Trey young is the best for mixed directions and Stephen Curry is the totality best one in the game, that's the curry slide and it has the hot back that everybody loves and it also has some of the best crabs in the game. Tre Young has the best crabs and best-mixed Direction but since they kind of nerfed it a little bit, Stephen Curry is up there on the misdirection as well - it has everything in one package. Trey young is a little faster so it is going to be a little bit better on misdirections, but Stephen Curry's totality is by far the best one.
Paul George / John Wall - If you are 6'9" and you can't get Damian Lillard or any of this, and you want to still have the hot back go with LeBron, you can go with Paul George or John Wall.
Moving Crossover
Jordan Poole - Jordan Poole crossover kind of nasty and now that they nerfed like bump Steals and stuff like that it's even better, now hands down the best one in the game is Jordan Poole but it is a lot different than a lot of these other ones like, it can really catch off. If you put no ankle breaker, this is like one of the best animations in the game to take angles.
Moving Behind The Back
Steph Curry / Damian Lilly / Pro - We use Pro, but if you can if you want to you can use Steph Curry and Damian Lilly, They are decent ones that have an argument to be your best one.
Moving Spin
Basic - This is pretty much like a non-negotiable, we are going, to be honest with your game, basic if you want to do all the spin back. We mean if you want that one spin back that's going to be in every single moving spin, but if you want like every single variety of sitting back you're going to want to use a basic moving spin.
Moving Hesitation
Luka Doncic / Kevin Durant - Now for the Hesitation, they added Larry Bird is kind of still throwing us off but we still think the best one in the game is Luca, but don't sleep on Kevin Durant, KD's heavy is still really good.
Moving Stepback
Luka Doncic / Jimmy Butler - Easily the hands-down best one is Luka Doncic, if you want to do like the man from last year you can go with Jimmy Butler. Luka Doncic has the best one in the game when it comes to like dribbling combing and stuff like that.
Triple Threat Style
Michael Jordan / Steph Curry - Threat Styles is probably the most underrated animation package out of everything, Jordan definitely is the best one, it has a lot of stuff in it. There are some other ones such as Steph Curry.
Pass Style
LeBorn James / Stephen Curry - When it comes to these pass styles, all these are good for certain builds, so if you're big, the best one is LeBorn James because it does the least extra thing and gets it out your hands as fast as possible, but if you want ones that are going to get it out your hands as fast as possible and it's like throwing around Defenders, we would say Stephen Curry is the ideal one.
LaMelo Ball / Magic Johnson - But if you want to make sure that you get like limit your turnovers when it comes to like throwing around Defenders, you don't want it to just throw into people that's maybe just running or maybe they're jumping at you for a block, we would say LaMelo Ball or Magic Johnson.
Now let's take a look at the best dunk animations in the game:
Quick Drops Off One - When steel hands down the best two-hand dunk packages in the game, you don't really have to put on anything else, but if you do want to go with something else to be different because everybody in their moms is using Quick Drop.
Front Crutches - Front Crutches is another good one but it's not as good as Quick Drops and both of these you are going to need at least silver and Limitless Takeoff if you want to use it to the fullest extent. But if you're not using Limitless takeoff, we would even argue Front Cutches is a little bit better.
Russell Westbrook / Cock Back Tomahawks - You can go with Russell Westbrook that is going to be straight, you could go with Clyde Drexler but it has some bad animations too. But if you want to just have like the best in one package, we would say Cock Back Tomahawks, the only thing about Cock Back Tomahawks is it doesn't have that one dunk that everybody really likes that's in rush, it has one of them but it doesn't have like the main one that everybody likes. So we do think Cock Back Tomahawks are good especially if you're using the animosity don't put your left or don't put your right definitely going to be good, but if you're not one of them people just go with Russell Westbrook and you'll be fine - it even has some decent one hand dunk packages as well.
NBA Players: Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Clyde Drexler
Standing Dunks: One Hand or Two Hand Basket Regular - The best big man dunks is the regulars - One Hand or Two Hand Basket Regular, these are the fastest ones, with two hands for safety for the two hands.
Contact Dunks: Pro / Elite - Content Dunk Pro or contact dunks real quick pretty much just put on as many of the packages that you can get, so put on Pro off one and off two unlock contact dunks; but for instance, you want the flash your dunks just put on the Elite if you want the crazier ones whenever you do it just put on the lease because at the end of the day, you can't do like the dump meter to get a Content dunk at a really high rate of time. Put on all the animation so that you can have a higher frequency of getting content else, because the more package you have you have more animations depending on the situation that you are coming from and where the defender is coming from.
Park Dunks: Flashy Off One - You do get a little bit of a boost to take over when you do a flashy dump, so park dunks do ever use but usually at your own risk.
Alley-Oops: Zion Williamson, Windmills - Elite, and Zion Williamson are definitely the two fastest ones, but Zion is more fun to play as it takes the cake for bringing a smile to your face every time you receive a lob pass. You're going to be putting on as many packages as possible because you want more animations for the situation that you're going to be in and where the defender is going to be in, so depending on where the defender is standing and where the angle you're coming from, so you want as many of these packages as possible. The same thing with Park Alley-Oops, the flash you're the dunk the more you'll get towards your takeover for doing a flashy dump. Now it's not like showtime where you help your teammates but it only just helps you and it's not like a significant boost, but it's been in the game the whole year so just for the people that want to know about that.
Now let's go over the best jump shots in NBA 2K23 season 4 now, we are giving you the best bases and the best releases for certain builds.
Best Jumpshot for 6'4" and Under:
Base: Kevin Porter Jr.
Release 1: Oscar Robertson
Release 2: Stephen Curry
Release Speed: Max Out
Animation Blending: 50% / 50%
If you're 6'4" and under, the best basis in the game is Stephen Curry, but you have to have like a 89 or a 91 or even a 93 ball to even be able to put that on as a base minimum. So if you're a guard and you want to play wreck or 5v5 or Pro M, you might want to try Kevin Porter Jr., this is the one like the Kuzma for the 6'4" and under. Now when it comes to the releases, you can go with Stephen Curry or Matt Thomas.
Best Jumpshot for 6'5"-6'9":
Base: Taurean Prince
Release 1: Oscar Robterson
Release 2: Klay Thompson
Release Speed: Max Out
Animation Blending: 85% / 15%
If you're 6'5" to 6"9", we would say Taurean Prince is the best jump shot in the game for those specific Heights in those specific builds. It's literally strictly because it even might even compete with Kuzma because that last season it felt like a lot of the jump shot timing was changing - way more frequently than ever, and Taurean Prince it pretty much never changes.
Best Jumpshot for 6'9"+ Bigs
Base: LaMarcus Aldridge
Release 1: Oscar Robterson
Release 2: Tim Duncan
Release Speed: Max Out
Animation Blending: 40% / 60%
To the best base jumpshots for big man, we think LaMarcus Aldridge might have a chance now. The releases for The Bigs that we feel are the best are Oscar Robinson or Tim Duncan, you also could put on Dirk Nowitzki as the secondary as it will keep you a little bit more balanced on the stats.
Best Jumpshot for All Builds
Base: LaMarcus Aldridge
Release 1: Tim Duncan
Release 2: Dirk Nowitzki
Release Speed: Max Out
Animation Blending: 40% / 60%
That's the best jump shots in Season 4, whether you're a guard a wing or a big, that's for you.
Dribble Pull-Up: Trae Young / Devin Booker / Dirk Nowitzki - If you're 6'5" and under, we think Ben McLemore is a good choice, but the best one in the game is Trae Young - it is the one that's going to get you wide opens, the majority of the time is very glitchy; if you are 6'5" to 6'9", our favorite is Michael Jordan, it's hands down what we think is the best one, but the most popular one is Devin Booker now. If you are big, that's going to be a little different now, you can use Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki.
Spin Jumper: Normal / Pro / Michael Jordan - If you're 6'5" to 6"9", we think Michael Jordan might be the best one in the game. But the best ones it's kind of still the same you're going to go with Normal if you want the fastest one; if you want something to just catch people off guard you're not gonna be spamming spin jumpers, just put on Pro - Pro is just going to be a winner just use maybe once or twice a game late in the shot clock you need something to bail you out; if you're big you're going to go with Kevin Durant or Dirk Nowitzki; if you're a guard you can also use Allen Iverson.
Hop jumper: Pro / Trae Young - Pro and Trae Young are the most versatile hop jumpers in the game where they have a lot of different animations - they got the little put the ball behind your back, the double step backs, etc. If you want the double step backs, pick up James Harden, if you want to be a big man and have a decent then you get Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki, while the best one for the small guards is Kyle Lowry but another one that's really fun to use is Allen Iverson.
