1 - Death Knight
Death Knight's rise in popularity inside of this solo queue Arena, leading the charge with a speck of Unholy. The solo queue Arena mode is currently dominated by many casters and Unholy Death Knights do extremely well in a magic heavy environment. The death knight's anti-magic shell and anti-magic zone help counter spell damage directly, while spell warden will work passively in the background to keep you maintained, the town of gloomboard helps increase the benefits of all magic absorption effects, and abilities like Death Grip can pull casters into less favorable positions given Unholy detonates an upper hand. Unholy is the master of plagues, capable of spreading deliberating afflictions upon entire enemy teams to exert group wide pressure, gripping foes out in the open and chaining them down with Chain of Ice, locking them down with stunts. Blinds and even silences allow Death Knights to establish ultimate control. Unholy can call upon their Mighty Scourge horde to help rip apart your enemies to shreds, with many of your most powerful cooldowns and minions resetting every new round. Necrotic Wound is also another powerful effect that helps diminish the healing of the enemy team, increasing the group's chances of winning the match by putting pressure on the enemy healer.
2 - Demonology Warlocks
Warlock sees a lot of play in the Solo Shuffle arena, one of the primary features of this Demonic Summoner is the Sheer Sturdiness of this cloth-wearing caster, with powerful defensives like Dark Back and Unending Resolve to steady yourself against incoming burst damage, and passive defensive effects which help you mitigate consistently sustained punishment. The talent of Soulburn is another powerful tool when it comes to improving on your survivability, burn a soul shard to increase the value of your next portal or call forth a demonic gateway for immediate escape and empower the value of your hellstone healing effects. Currently, the spec of demonology dominates the solo queue environment, combined with a fully empowered Felguard together with the build focus around dread hounds which allows for excellent sustained damage output from your demonic minions. Together with the Fel Obelisk which greatly improves the overall effectiveness. While Nether Portal supplies you with a large burst window now, the portal lets fel armies pour out of the twisting nether and eventually summon up a powerful pit lord to overwhelm your targets. The Nether Portal Ram can be done once every round in Solo Shuffle which lets demonology warlocks dominate with overwhelming numbers of demons crowding the arena grounds.
3 - Elemental Shaman
Next, we have the class Shaman which is one of the greatest Support classes for the Solo Shuffle. Shamans can run a myriad of totems to help support their allies. From breaking fears with Tremor Totem, misdirecting spells with Grounding Totem, rooting enemy pets and melee attackers in place with Binding or Static Field Totem, and empowering your allies damage with Skyfury Totem. Shamans are also generally tanky, capable of calling forth an Earth Elemental to bolster their health at the start of every round, dampening harm with Astral Shift defensives, and having a safety net of Nature's Guardian when you fall into a critical condition. Most Shamans have seen a lot of success in the Solo Shuffle as the elemental playstyle, where Elemental gains the advantage of mostly instant casting spells through procs and passives which makes it difficult to interrupt and lock down the shaman. The elemental can output high sustained damage which they can spread to the entire enemy team to help build the pressure putting strain on the enemy healers, the passive of deeply rooted elements allows for unpredictable burst windows which can help secure kills and put your team on the offensive overwhelming all of the foes with rapid lava surge barrages.
4 - Shadow Priest
The priest is currently one of the most popular casters at the top end of the latter of the Solo Shuffle, primarily played as the speck of shadow. Priests are team players offering Power Infusion for themselves and their allies to help increase the group's overall output. Priests also come with great team support healing either by helping allies rejuvenate with the Vampiric Embrace or even swapping helpful with injured team members. Priests can also put their enemy on the back foot with intense control, ruining enemies in place or fearing your foes apart together with stuns silencers while also denying enemy healing with the ability of Mindgames. Shadow Priest has great spread pressure, able to slowly rot entire enemy teams but also fantastic Burst Windows through procs of spikes, mind blasts, devouring plagues and crushing executes. Void Volley is another powerful soul of the shutter piece, frequent uses of dark essential triggers avoid volley horrifying all found in the immediate area, perfect for solo queue Arenas where enemies are less than coordinated and tend to stack close together. The PVP sound of Catharsis lets Shadow priests turn any punishment they take back into their foes sending the pressure back at the sender, and they can call forth as siphoned to help reduce the healing of your enemy target which allows for easier takedowns.
5 - Demon Hunters
Demon Hunters are dominating in the Solo Arena ladder as the most popular class as well as one of the highest average performers. Demon Hunters are incredibly tanky in Dragonflight, capable of dodging and reducing damage with blur or outright immuning certain spells and abilities with Netherwalk and ignoring crowd control with a well-timed vengeful retreat. Demon Hunters are also self-sustainable and able to recover health through offensive damage or by slaying demons spawned in combat and can cover their allies in the student of Darkness for aided assistance. They have excellent forms of control, with Fel Eruption to lock down a singular foe or chaos Nova to punish enemies for grouping up together, as well as in prison and an AOE Sigil of Fear. The Demon Hunter damage profile is excellent for Solo Q Shuffle, Havoc Escape Level Playing Group by pressure with glaive toss bleeds as well as blade dance and immolation Aura to any enemies in close proximity, but Demon Hunters also have deadly bursts especially when they play a crit oriented build focused on increasing their Critical Strike chances, where crit chance converts into crit damage which benefits from other amplification effects. Your Mastery can also help Empower old magic spells turning them into pure chaos damage given some of your most powerful spells and extra deadly edge above the rest.
For now, that's going to be the full list of classes currently dominating in the Solo Q Arena mode, but this list is by no means final and has a high likelihood of changing over the next few weeks with even more class changes potentially on the horizon, there's also the possibility that players simply haven't discovered their best class builds just yet, as more players continue to experiment with their own favorite playstyles try not a variety of different talents until they find the build that works the best.
