Top 6 WoW Dragonfligt Classes To Main - Best DPS & Healer Classes in WoW Dragonflight

Now the class turning is finalized and it's hard to rank all of the playstyles based on performance alone. And there's so many different exciting class changes in Dragonflight to consider from the new revamp talent trees offering new gameplay options, all competing against the newest class of the evoker. Here we’ll go over 6 classes that we found the most appealing so far. These are the best classes you should main in WoW Dragonflight.

1. Death Knight

The first class as a potential main is the class of Death Knight, a powerful Juggernaut capable of withstanding magic effects with ease. Frost gains even more support towards the two-hand playstyle in Dragonflight, there's just nothing more satisfying than big chunky obliterate. Blood death knight is a solid tank that focuses on self-healing, control and powerful defensive cooldowns. And some people are a big fan of the Capstone Talent choices in Dragonflight focusing on bone shield, vampiric blood and new damage enhancing options. But our all-time favorite spec has to be the Unholy death knight who saw a lot of thematic gameplay choices and options becoming an Unholy necromantic commander in the battlefield with an army of the scourge. Empowering diseases and afflictions with a heavy focus on damage over time elements, even more AOE gameplay choices and execute focus. Overall, the gameplay options for the spec of unholy has been the highlight of the death knight class.

2. Monk

The next class considered maining in Dragonflight is the Monk. We've been a big fan of the mystery healer specifically the melee fistful rebuild which seeks to fuse melee strikes while effectively healing your party. In Dragonflight, this playstyle gets a lot of support, the shadowland's stomp ability activates fistful river gameplay which integrates seamlessly into your rotation. While standing in the stomp lines, your combat abilities are further enhanced, jab otherwise known as Tiger Palm and blackout kick cleave nearby foes. Blackout kick cleave helps reset the cooldown of rising sun kick which makes you even more combat effective. While fighting an overwhelming number of foes, spinning crane kick can be used in order to heal your allies for a portion of the damage that it does. The cooldown of GG can also be reduced down to one minute which helps enhance your combat effectiveness and healing output at the same time, making it much more reliable in 5-man content. Besides Mistweaver, brewmaster tank spec is highly effective, stagger is a very powerful tool that helps you mitigate damage passively which is ideal for someone who doesn't dive into tanking that often. Brew can enhance their gameplay with a variety of talents which add more depth to the playstyle while promoting powerful cooldowns and mobility choices which helps this tank spec feel more consistent. When Walker generally exiles in AOE content, making them highly effective in certain fights and mythic plus dungeons. New survivability tools and group utility contribute towards making them more appealing towards end game content. Dragonflight offers fan favorite abilities from older expansions and new ways of adding more depth into the Windwalker gameplay.

3. Warrior

So far, the class Warrior has been incredibly fun, the base talent tree is full of powerful Town options with nodes that help enhance the control. Choices that allow for better skill expression and agency, group gameplay and survivability options. Arms can become a deadly weapon focusing on delivering powerful strikes at a cost of downtime or impower your blades and damage over time for better sustained throughput, and the focus on incredibly satisfying execute procs and finishers is still part of the core gameplay. The Fury Warrior could become the ultimate Berserker for going heavy weapons entirely by getting fast furious strikes or call upon the Eye of Odyn to help enhance them in combat. The ability of ravager is a more fitting ability than Blaze storm bringing AOE out but without disrupting the fun fast-paced Fury Warrior rotation. Finally, protection is getting some love in Dragonflight, with new tools to help him feel extremely defensive especially when it comes to dealing with magic damage and high stress burst situations.

4. Shaman

The shaman has been one of the best class talent trees in Dragonflight. With group utility VR totems, better control with knockbacks and stuns and hybrid utility tools that every spec can utilize, as well as great mobility options like Spirit walk which breaks movement in parent effects or gusts the wind to repel yourself forward. Enhancement can mix Elemental damage with physical combat seamlessly which helps you adapt and adjust your playstyle to suit your environment. Frostfire and nature damage can be modified to cleave nearby foes or enhance the damage output of other abilities. Ghost wolves or rather feral Spirits can be modified to gain powerful damage bonuses. One fear totem is still strong and has recently become even stronger which gives enhanced shamans an edge in and game group content. Elemental shaman is similar to enhancement, offering a mix of gameplay options like a stronger focus on fire spells or enhancing the value of nature damage. With playstyles and focus on maintaining ascendant's uptime, maximizing the value of your mastery stat and allowing for more interspell synergy. Restoration sees surprising amount of offensive bonuses which makes the battle Shaman gameplay a lot more valid, as well as familiar gameplay choices from previous expansions that should keep the spec fairly powerful. Overall, Shaman has one of the strongest class talent trees in Dragonflight, offering a mix of group Buffs and utility options.

5. Evoker

The next maining class/spec on Dragonflight is the new edition of Evoker. This has been able to literally fly through some of the most gorgeous Vistas in the world which has to be the most fun racial ability ever created, the evoker tries to create its own identity. Last time, Demon Hunter's ripped off Warlocks for metamorphosis, the Evoker attempts to not step on any toes in contrast. Evokers can cast on the move with hover, soar over to their allies location, even grab party members and move them around which can be incredibly entertaining when standing next to a cliff. Evoker's buff allies movement speed and can protect them from AOE damage abilities. Evokers play into the empowerment mechanic which can modify the effectiveness of spells and abilities depending on their empowerment level. Devastation weaves red and blue aspects magic to create powerful fireballs, long lasting burns, explosive arcane effects and a barrage of spell Frost. While preservation evoker, weaves green heal over time magic with bronze time manipulation effects in order to keep the party healthy. The class Evoker offers a new experience that doesn't erase other playstyles which feels refreshing to play. So far, this seemed well suited for the Dragonflight content where quite a few fights heavily favor mobility. This new playstyle so far has been extremely enjoyable.

6. Rouge

Finally, we have the Dragonflight maining class Rogue. The class challenge for Rogue are excellent, offering a variety of gameplay options from powerful effects like Shadow dance, resource recovery of Thistle Tea, damage enhancements of reprimand and even guaranteed crits from Cold Blood, which can be incredibly powerful in PvP content. Rogues also gain access to raid and group utility through their poisons. No matter how well or poorly tuned, this class brings something besides damage that could help benefit towards the group's success. Assassination has gained even more AOE options with the ability to spread bleeds instantly which helps them in Mythic plus situations. Bigger emphasis on effective CD usage, making them excellent and focusing priority targets. Even adding a double poison node which lets them Embrace their toxic nature. Outlaws gain even more support for all the bones which is a fantastic way of adding some sort of control to the RNG mechanic. Both pistol builds and Ambush builds are heavily supported which offers new gameplay opportunities. Finally, AOE is seeing great improvements with bigger cleave counts and a stronger group output. Subtlety can enhance bleeds and poisons with Shadow damage which opens up space for sustained damage output. Powerful new tools that will enhance their output in PvP and new skill expression passives that add a lot more depth and fun into the subtlety gameplay. Dragonflight development has been full of excited class changes which makes him want to explore many play styles all at once. It's exciting to see the class of Rogue isn't falling behind the rest of them, getting new powerful tools group utility and even gameplay variations of the familiar play styles.

So far, that's going to be the full list of maining classes/specs going forward into the expansion of WoW Dragonflight. Hope this list can give you some ideas on how to choose your main character in WoW Dragonflight.
