What to Do Before Dragonflight - WoW Dragonflight Preparation Guide

11/8/2022 3:57:34 PM

It is not a long time till the launch of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion at the end of November, what to do before Dragonflight? Today let’s take a look at a handful of things that you can do in Dragonflight Pre-Patch and before the official release of WoW Dragonflight.

What to Do Before Dragonflight - WoW Dragonflight Preparation Guide

Thanks to Bellular Warcraft and WoW at Night, let’s go through a quick rundown on some of the most important things to do for Dragonflight preparation.

1.  Playing multiple alts

Alts are going to be more important in WoW Dragonflight than ever, this expansion mainly involves getting gear, and playing multiple alts will get you a bit more fun. With the revamp of the profession, there is a good chance that you’ll want or have utility for several alts, leveling new characters to get the experience buff will make things insanely quick. In addition, Dragonflight massively squishes the XP required for leveling to 60, you can get your characters up to level 50 and then in Dragonflight pre-patch, make use of the level squish, levels 50 through 60 have their XP requirements squished by about 75, which is massive, and if 60 through 70, which is the new leveling in Dragonflight, if that feels a bit daunting on multiple characters, don't worry that much, they've got a Threads of Fate like set up, that's pretty solid and your Dragonriding carries over from your main, so you should be able to get going pretty quick adults. If your edition of Dragonflight has a boost, but you plan on leveling multiple characters, do not miss out on a Heritage armor set, which can be obtained by leveling from 10 to 50 on the Allied Race character without using a boost, so it would be ideal to boost non-Allied Race characters and just level the Allied Race yourself.

2.  Pick your main class

The second thing you should do before Dragonflight comes out is to pick your main class for the upcoming WoW game, a new expansion is the best time to make the main swap, you have plenty of options, you can try new characters or stick with what you are familiar with. You can choose a strong spec and carry other people, but if you choose the wrong class, you can also level up some alts which is a good way to get creative, whether it is playing an off-meta spec or not, if you are one of those people who dedicated to playing a single main, playing something that is more of a Flavor of the Month, you can still get a sense of what everybody else is gravitating towards. Choosing the best main and alts for you is probably difficult, so playing around with several characters is a good way to a better idea of what class you might prefer in Dragonflight. If you have any sort of doubts once you have made the decision, you should spend some time thinking of what character you are going to prioritize and make sure it is properly geared.

3.  Dragonriding

One thing you could do is a little bit of pre-research, for example, the locations of all the Dragon Riding Glyph, those are used to unlock the dragon riding talents and they're just in a fixed place in the world, so if you wanted to plan out getting those ahead of launch, so you could just hop in and maybe clear them all out in just two hours and then maxed out Dragon riding forever including on your alts.

4.  Get your profession ready

Another important thing is to get your professions ready, professions are going to be a really big deal in Dragonflight, and having multiple characters that cover a variety of professions is going to be a fantastic way to make WoW gold. Take some time to figure out which characters you want to cover, and which professions could save you a lot of time once Dragonflight is launched, and you want to be spending all the time that you can in Dragonflight, just going instead of stopping thinking and unlearning professions.

5.  Dragonflight Pre-Patch Phase 2

Once the Dragonflight Pre-Patch Phase 2 arrives, the first and most important note is to make an Evoker, it is a new class, and everyone is gonna do it, this looks very fun, in addition to that, there are Primal Storms events happening.

6.  Set up your UI and addons

Moving on to the next tip, set up your UI, which is also a pretty important part for most people, with the 10.0 patch bringing the newly revamped UI, this is a great time to expand on the way that your UI and your interface are set up, maybe you have some addons that are not super efficient, they're a little older or outdated, maybe there are add-ons that you have that are going to be discontinued no longer be updated, you can remove useless addons or you can switch to the new default UI.
