Dragonflight: World of Warcraft is on the way. What are you going to choose for the best DPS main in Dragonflight? There are a lot of different options out there. So in the WOW Dragonflight DPS tier list, we are going to rank the best World of Warcraft Dragonflight DPS class.
Dragonflight DPS Tier List - Best DPS Classes In WoW Dragonflight
This new talent system, introduced with the Dragonflight Pre-Patch, affects all classes and the way their abilities interact with one another. This Dragonflight best DPS tier list is based on our understanding of the changes made to each class's talent tree. There’s the only three S tier melee DPS. If you are a little more biased and like to go with some ranged approaches but work with us here, the range is starting off a little bit slower kind of similar to how it did with Shadowlands, but we'll see our DPS from our range specs start to climb up.
S Tier on Dragonflight Best DPS Tier List
Havoc Demon Hunter
The havoc tree is probably one of the least mature. Just because Havoc doesn't have that many different skills or abilities tied to it, but think it's going to be a ton of fun. We've seen a couple of Nerfs and Buffs as well, it's actually going to complement how Havoc actually shows up in the Mythic plus space. As far as rating we are going to go with more of a Vengeance approach for raiding. But speaking specifically about DPS at the moment, Havoc's going to be a bunch of fun.
Fury Warrior
Same thing to be said with Fury. Fury's tree is fantastic. If you haven't spent any time on it yet, between Protection Fury and then Arms as long as we're talking PVE, Warrior is in a really fun satisfying spot and the best DPS in Dragonflight.
Enhancement Shaman
Enhancement is not only with the way that their tree is built going to be super satisfying, not only Mythic plus but in rating. What we also see is that Enhancement has a fantastic tier bonus. So nice coming right out of the new expansion swinging some male storm weapons and getting some serious DPS.
A Tier on Dragonflight DPS Rankings
Arms Warrior
Arms Warriors are powerful yet sluggish damage providers whose playstyle centers on setting up Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash for bursts of damage. Their biggest asset is the wide variety of attacks at their disposal, including Single Target, close-range cleave, burst AoE, and even some resistance to physical damage.
Feral Druid
Feral got a totally new rebuild if you're less familiar with it.
Beast Mastery Hunter
Beast Master is going to continue to be a fantastic spot. The Beast Mastery Hunter is a ranged damage-dealing specialization that can move across the battlefield with ease. Only this Ranged specialization may completely rotate while in motion. Because of this, it is a fantastic tool for handling mechanics in raids and dungeons without taking any damage.
Unholy Death Knight
Unholy is going to be in a great spot. At this time, the Unholy specialty has both excellent burst damage and outstanding area of effect scaling. One of our other strengths is that we are among the tankiest classes, making us a great choice for any and all PvE activities.
Frost Death Knight
Frost has gotten a ton of new abilities, plus the 15% buff to its damage, just watch out. The Frost Death Knight spec provides significant burst and cleaves damage as a melee DPS class. It's capable of using two-handed and one-handed weaponry alike. Anti-Magic Zone Icon, its raid cooldown, is also very effective.
Assassination Rogue
Assassination Rogue is going to be a tier DPS in WOW Dragonflight. They're just going to continue to pack a wallop. Damage is dealt with by Assassination Rogues via the use and enhancement of poison and bleed abilities. Assassination has a limited arsenal of damage options, revolving mostly around doing damage to a single victim over a prolonged period of time. All Rogue subclasses, including Assassination, have incredible defenses that let them absorb and withstand techniques that other classes can't have a chance against.
Windwalker Monk
Windwalker's not going anywhere, it's really again a tier it's been there for a long time. It feels like especially if you've been playing a lot of Mythic pluses. The Windwalker class is a melee DPS build that specializes in channeling and channeling Energy into Chi for damage. Windwalkers are notoriously slow in Raids despite their superior mobility and widespread use in M+ and PvP.
B Tier On WoW Dragonflight DPS Ranking
Shadow Priest
Shadow Priest is going to be b tier WOW Classic Dragonflight DPS. A little less exciting but still definitely competitive. Shadow is going to have a little bit of fun to it and priests are going to gain a whole lot more popular as we see a few more kicks added to different groups. The talent tree has begun testing a build-your-own Shadow Priest system, allowing players to customize their class by selecting from two distinct basic cooldowns (Void Eruption Icon Void Eruption or Dark Ascension Icon Dark Ascension) and finishing off with appropriate Idol spells. There is a lot to discuss on the spec since it offers a broad range of customization choices and playstyles that are dependent on talents.
Frost Mage
Frost Mages, at least in raids, will not noticeably alter with the introduction of the Dragonflight Pre-Patch. Standard Thermal Void gameplay from the icon version is still used extensively. First and foremost, keep in mind that Icy Propulsion Icon The ability, Icy Propulsion, does not synergize with area-of-effect skills. While this significantly lowers the amount of time we have the Rune of Power Icon up in dungeons, the impressive AoE damage obtained in the remainder of the tree more than makes up for it.
Fire Mage
The Fire specialty excels at dealing both instantaneous and overtime damage in a wide range of encounters. Cleaving fire does more overall damage to stacked targets than it does to single targets. It has uncapped AoE DPS and can deal considerable AoE damage to piled foes. They're both in a really fun satisfying spot on this World of Warcraft Dragonflight DPS class tier list.
Retribution Paladin
Retribution had some last-minute changes to its trees and it's absolutely thumping. In addition to that, it's picked up a couple of different talents here as we've kind of transitioned to call it a little bit of a build that looks closer to protection. Ret is going to continue to have a bunch of bursts and some viability.
Survival Hunter
We are actually sad to see Survival Hunter creep back this way. In season 4 of Shadowlands and it was in a great spot. The Melee Hunter specialty is Survival. It's a Melee standard with a lot of different, strong themes, and it's very mobile. It's unlike any other Melee spec and one of the least played in the game.
Affliction Warlock
Affliction Warlock is underrated. So it's showing up in B right now I wouldn't be surprised to see it push up into an A on this Dragonflight DPS tier list WOW, it is an absolute ton of fun from this class. Affliction One of a warlock's greatest strengths is their ability to take and keep taking large amounts of damage. Your primary method of attack is the use of damaging damage over time effects (DoTs). This gives them an advantage over other specialties, which sometimes have trouble or are unable to cleave on targets that are dispersed over a large area.
Subtlety Rogue
Ultimately Rogues are in a great spot. Subtlety rogue is often derided as a weak progression spec in the high-end raiding community, which may be seen as a reflection of the spec's perceived lack of utility. But when well-honed, its qualities may be useful and distinctive. The primary problem with Subtlety is shared by all three rogue specializations: we lack any raid usefulness.
Balance Druid
This is the last B tier class on WoW: Dragonflight DPS ranking and this isn't really even bash. Druid's going to creep up a little higher than what people expect. We see a few adjustments to the way their talent tree is set up. The rotation offered by the Balance specialty is both engaging and difficult, and it excels in terms of both single- and multi-target damage per second. A Balance Druid's strength is in their ability to multi-DoT and strike every target in combat. While the Balance Druid's multi-target is effective, it is not considered burst damage due to the time it takes to build up and ramp up. Because of this, Balance Druids may not be the best choice when your team has to burst a large number of targets at once.
Demonology Warlock
Demo Warlock can be very surprised. It’s going to continue to smash serious damage and wicked tanky. The cycle in Demonology is enjoyable and rather fast-paced, and it centers on generating resources while calling upon evil forces to perform your work. Although the specialty requires some initial time to get up to speed, once it does, it performs smoothly and quickly. Demonology Warlocks thrive in confrontations with steady movement rather than unpredictable one-offs.
C Tier on Dragonflight DPS Rank
Marksmanship
This class doesn't really excite most people. Since Marksmanship is the only Hunter spec that needs to cope with extended cast periods during which you cannot move, it is the least mobile of the three. From a gameplay standpoint, Marksmanship is straightforward, requiring knowledge of just a small set of core skills.
Destruction Warlock
We've got Destruction Warlock down here in the C tier. As a versatile class, Destruction Warlocks can adapt to many settings and thrive. Destruction is able to provide high burst damage to a single target, as well as cleave and area-of-effect effectively against several foes.
Arcane Mage
In the current iteration of World of Warcraft, the Arcane specialty stands apart from the crowd. The gameplay is centered on expending Mana, with two separate "phases" of the cycle, "Burn" and "Conserve," presented to the user. The goal of the "Conserve" phase is to maintain a Mana balance of zero until the Evocation Icon Evocation cooldown becomes accessible.
Dracthyr Evoker
Dracthyr Evokers are a new Hero class and begin their adventures at level 58. Although the specialty requires some initial time to get up to speed, once it does, it performs smoothly and quickly. Demonology Warlocks thrive in confrontations with steady movement rather than unpredictable one-offs. We have to wait a couple of weeks until the second Dragonflight pre patch launches and see what happens.
