What are Strategy Items in Madden (MUT) 23?

Strategy items or strategy cards are a kind of boost that can be equipped to the player and provide a bonus to your team, there are three different types of strategy cards, including offensive, defensive, and team affinity, and each item has three different tiers: common (silver), uncommon (green), and rare (blue), only Let It Rip and In The Zone have the Epic tier, which is purple, the highest tier in the game now. The higher tier up you go, the larger the boosts, which sometimes apply to more positions. The common strategy items usually only boost one attribute, with plus one to it, uncommon ones can boost two attributes, with plus one or plus two to them, rare ones boost two or three attributes, with plus one to plus three, and epic ones boost three attributes, with plus one to plus three as well. Epic strategy cards can provide an additional bonus when you pair your offensive and defensive items with the same symbol. 

In Madden 23 Ultimate Team, strategy items can be purchased in the auction house and they don’t need to be upgraded now. 

How to Get Strategy Items in Madden (MUT) 23?

There is a couple of ways to earn strategy cards in MUT 23, for random or specific cards. 

- Complete daily objectives: random ones.

- Complete sets: uncommon and rare strategy items.

- Level up your Season 1 Field Pass: Pass Protector, Sam-Mike-Will, Bruiser, Field General, The Line, Lockdown.

- Buy strategy items from the Auction House with Madden coins.

1. Best Offensive Strategy Items

Let It Rip (QB/OL)

The Epic item gives +2 throw power, +3 impact block, and +2 deep accuracy, which is pretty big not only for passing the ball, but also for running the ball because it’s how long your offensive players will hold their block, but that is only on the offensive line and not for wide receivers. 

On The Move (HB/QB)

The second one is rare On The Move, it offers +2 juke move, +2 spin move, and +1 break tackle, in the early game where we don’t have a lot of running backs with high juke spin or break a tackle as well, this is a good option.

Reel In (WR)

If you want to pick up one for wide receivers, you can go with the Reel In, you can have +2 catch in traffic, +2 short route running, and +1 spectacular catch. 

Deep Route Specialist (WR)

If you want to try to throw the top, you can choose Deep Route Specialist, this one gives +2 release, +2 deep route running, and +1 spectacular catch. 

2. Best Defensive Strategy Items

Ball Hawk (CB)

For corners, it gives you +3 man coverage and +2 zone coverage, which is really good. Ball Hawk is probably the best one for your defensive side. If you have played Madden 23 online, man coverage is so good, you can get man and zone to the corners and allow them to be better, the only thing is it's super expensive to get strategy items, it needs to cost you a lot of MUT 23 coins. 

In The Zone (CB/FS)

The Epic tier gives +3 zone coverage, +3 play recognition, and +1 press to multiple positions, including corners and free safety. The price of this is a little lower than Ball Hawk, but still a lot.
