The RLCS world championship is this week and it's the first world championship in Rocket League in almost 3 years it's been so long. So this is a huge event for them and they wanted to make it special. So they made this brand new event called Rocket League Fan Clash worlds 2022 and it's a way for fans to pick a team and play Rocket League and compete with other fans to win rewards.

How Does Rocket League Fan Clash Event Work?

- Join your favorite RLCS team and play to earn points.

- Goals, assists, and saves will contribute to your team's overall score. Points can be tracked in your stats dashboard on the Rocket League Fan Clash worlds 2022 website after logging in.

- Get rewarded for completing Fan Clash challenges. In addition to challenges, you'll be awarded items based on your team's final Fan Clash placement.

How to choose your RLCS teams

Because teams will undoubtedly have different amounts of participants point normalization will be in effect to balance score generation between teams. Teams will receive an adjusted amount of points based on their comparative player numbers. This ensures that teams with fewer participants can earn just as many points as bigger teams. So let's say NRG gets a million people to sign up and let's say Endpoint gets 10 people to sign up, just because NRG gets more goals and more wins doesn't necessarily the score will be higher. Because it will be divided by a bigger number of players whereas the Endpoint may score way fewer overall goals and wins and saves. But because they have fewer people on their team, they will be divided by a smaller number and therefore have a higher score. 

It all just depends on the number of people divided by how many stats they actually score. So Endpoint could end up winning this thing just because they have the smallest amount of fan base and it's adjusted accordingly to like each player's individual scores. So you want to do the best for your team, but you also kind of want to be strategic on which team you choose. Because choosing G2 and Moist and the big teams for this might not actually be the way to go. You might want to choose the underdogs because they might be adjusted point-wise to get to that number one spot.

When you do choose your team, it'll show your team, your name, the total match played, goals, assist, and saves that you have and then your score. Then if you scroll down, it will show a Fan Clash leaderboard showing all the teams and how your team ranks amongst the leaderboard.

There are various rewards during this Rocket League Fan Clash update. Unfortunately, all the rewards you earn during the event are not tradable to other players.

Show off your skills and complete challenges as you play challenges must be completed in online matches during Rocket League Fan Clash. Challenges, for example, win 10 online matches that's all you got to do. Win 10 matches and you get Rival Infinite Wheels. Or get 35 shots in online matches, and you get a Helios Boost. Or play in 5 online matches, and you will get LFT Topper. That are the only 3 rewards that you can get and anyone can get.

Rocket League Fan Clash Team Placement Rewards

This is the juicy stuff. All players will receive rewards based on how their team placed at the end of the event. All you have to do is complete challenges and place as high as possible on the team leaderboards.

- First place gets the Gold Painted Ballistic Pro Gold Explosion, “Team Titan” Player Title, and 1 import drop.

- Second place will get 1 very rare drop and 1 import drop.

- Third place will get 2 very rare drops.

- Fourth place will get 1 rare drop and 1 very rare drop.

- Fifth and Six will get 2 rare drops.

- Seventh and Eighth will get 1 rare drop.
