What is the best DPS class in TBC Classic? In this TBC Classic DPS tier list, we are going to look at the best DPS classes and different individual specs for every single class. However, we are not going to talk about every single specter, because a lot of specs you don't really see in a PvE environment that much and they're more of a PVP spec. There's always wiggle room with these tiers depending on obviously subjective opinions of everyone and depending on the skill of each individual player.
TBC Classic DPS Tier List - Best DPS Classes & Specs In WOW Classic TBC
Thanks to MetaGoblin, we have the best Classic TBC DPS Spec rankings, we will cover the strengths and potential weaknesses of each DPS spec. To improve your DPS with any class in TBC Classic, the first thing you need to do is improve your movement. One of the biggest between average players and players that you always see topping the damage meters isn’t usually that one person knows their rotation better than the other. It’s that the really good players move and position their character in a way that maximizes their up time and how often they are able to actually do their rotation. Even just a few seconds of not attacking a boss could be the difference in hundreds of DPS.
S Tier On TBC Classic DPS Rankings
Warlock
Warlock has a very strong snug spot in tier s. This is definitely the highest DPS class on single-target boss fights and aoe situations throughout the entirety of TBC and arguably the best DPS class in WOW TBC. A lot of people will be playing warlock and a lot of people will be stacking warlocks in raids because they're just so ridiculously powerful and we don't even need that much gear to be incredibly powerful. They just need to get there well at least close to the spell hit cap, throw them in a group of an elemental shaman and they absolutely pump.
Hunter
Clearly, the hunter is the best DPS class in WOW Classic. It is really the absolute gods when it comes to DPS in TBC.
A Tier On TBC WOW DPS Tier List
Fire Mage
Fire mage has a solid spot in a tier for the majority of TBC. So most people tend to spec into five specs when they've got a decent amount of crit gear so that they can get those ignite procs off very frequently and do really good damage. However, until then, mages like to dabble in arcane and frospec normally when TBC just launches. A lot of people are going to be jumping into TBC with tier 3 gear, so they probably will have a lot of hit chance and crit chance. So we probably won't see arcane and frost being used that much. However arcane becomes really solid at a class again in tier 5 when you get a particular set bonus that increases the damage of arcane blast. Overall mage is in a tier on this WOW Classic TBC DPS class tier list.
Warrior
The warrior moves around the tiers depending on what phase of the game you are playing, what patch you are playing, and what content you are clearing. Because when worries start to get better and better gear, they start to pump more and more damage. So at the beginning of the expansion bit, they're fair enough they are going to start in tier c and it is just pure scaling that's the reason why. But in the hands of a good player, you can see warriors get pretty high in the meters even in tier 4. In tier 5, they start pumping up into tier b. Then when you're starting to get into a battle for mine hydro black temple, that's when they pump up even higher to tier a. They just pump up each tier when every new patch comes out and obviously, especially when a warrior is lucky enough to get the war gloves.
Rogue
Rogue is combat spec. They start in tier c, but as the expansion progresses on and on, they just bump up the tiers until they are eventually in a snug spot in tier a by the time tier 6 rocks up. There out of specs that you can play as a rogue in a PvE environment, they are more tailored for PVP. Don't need to talk about them that much but they're essentially just a tier behind that combat spec. Because you can play mutilate spec and there's a subtlety spec that you can play too, just an easy way to explain it. They're just a tear behind combat spec.
Elemental Shaman
Elemental shaman has a very snug spot in tier a. In fact, you could even argue that they're more tier s when it's when you're in like tier 4 and a little bit tier 5. Because unfortunate story with the elemental shaman is they don't scale very well. But they do insane damage. So in the first tier, it'd probably be top s tier DPS class in TBC, to be honest. Especially when you consider the support that they provide. But they come down a tier in the later phases of the expansion.
Feral Druid
Feral druid has a very snug spot in tier a. For some reason, feral druids just do ridiculous damage in TBC and we also provide immense map support for the raid too, so they're a really strong class to bring. They can very quickly and easily swap between tanking and DPS of a very useful for a raid. If we're talking about pure TBC Classic DPS tier list, they are actually a tier class.
B Tier On Classic DPS Rankings
Affliction Spec
Affliction is much more of a support class, primarily a tank support class and they are very useful in a raid. But they aren't absolutely god-tier when it comes to DPS especially when you compare them to a mage or a destruction warlock. However, in the hands of the right player, affliction can bump up and have a sneaky spot in tier a. But you have to be fairly skilled and know exactly what you're doing to bump up to tier a.
Retribution Paladin
Ret paladin has a very snug spot in tier b. They only become an absolute god class in Wrath of the Lich King. But it's still nonetheless like the affliction spec was a really strong support class. Your primary role as a retribution paladin isn't the top meters is to support the raid with everything that you bring to a raid. Your spot is more than justified despite the fact you're doing slightly less DPS than the other DPS.
Survival Hunter
Survival hunter is a support class and it belongs in tier b with all the other support DPS. Although again in the right hands, survival hunters can actually do some really serious damage. Same for the marksman, it's just a tier behind. You don't really see marksman hunters that much. It's all about beast mastery hunters and the occasional rare survival hunter.
Shadow Priest
Shadow priest gets a good spot in tier b, again not the absolute best DPS in the WOW Classic Burning Crusade. However, they provide an immense amount of support for the entire raid and are actually in really high demand despite the fact they're more of a tab class when it comes to DPS. Every raid wants at least two shadow priests just because they're so ridiculously useful benefiting all the other DPS and the healers and even the tanks a little bit. Shadow priest will out DPS warriors and rogues in tier 4 and 5, but towards the end of tier 5 and tier 6, then warriors and rogues will take over. That's why they're a higher tier and that's why we have to put shadow priests in a lower tier. We are purely talking about DPS rather than support staff.
Enhancement Spec
For the enhancement spec it's just the same story as all the other support classes. They don't do the best DPS in the world that's why they are in tier b.
Balance Druid
The balance druid comes more into tier b, but it can cross over into tier a again in the hands of the right player and when you have the really really good gear.
C Tier On Classic WOW Best DPS
There are more niche specs out there like demonology, warlock, smite priest, marksman hunter, and meteorite rogue, they're just probably all going to go into tier c on this TBC Classic DPS rankings. But again in the hands of the right player who knows? They may end up being much more of a top-tier class.
That's pretty much the WOW Classic TBC best DPS classes you should know. If you want to buy cheap and fast Classic TBC gold, Aoeah.com can be your trustworthy dealer.
