Rocket League Season 5 has commenced with the release of our Anniversary Update on July 5th. Rocket League's fifth competitive season marks a departure from the developer's traditional ways in order to streamline the ranking system, along with a brand new Season Reward Level system. In this guide, we talk about Rocket League Season 5 Rewards, Rankings and other details.
Rocket League Season 4 Rewards
Before you start the new season, take your Rocket League Season 4 rewards first, your ranking in season 4 determine the rewards you can get:
Bronze I or higher – Season 4 Bronze Trail
Silver I or higher – Season 4 Silver Trail + lower Trails
Gold I or higher – Season 4 Gold Trail + lower Trails
Platinum I or higher – Season 4 Platinum Trail + lower Trails
Diamond I or higher – Season 4 Diamond Trail + lower Trails
Champion – Season 4 Champion Trail + lower Trails
Grand Champion – 'Season 4 Grand Champion' in-game Title + Champion Trail + lower Trails
Rocket League Season 5 Ranking System
Unlike previous seasons, Rocket League Season 5 won’t have no Competitive Skill reset. The change follows four seasons of complaints that the skill reset results in unfair matchmaking as it pits high-level players versus those much lower than themselves. Psyonix hopes that the change will result in an end to poor games.
The rankings remain the same:
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Diamond
Champion
Grand Champion
Rocket League Season 5 Reward Level Requirements
Players must win 12 games per tier while ranked at, or above, that tier. The rewards system will act independently from player skill ratings. As it currently stands, players must win 12 games to unlock Bronze-level rewards, 12 games for Silver-level rewards, and so on. Players who have unlocked their current rank’s rewards will not be able to begin unlocking the next rank’s rewards until they achieve or exceed that rank. A total of 96 wins would be needed to get your SRL up to Grand Champion over the course of a three or four month season.
Rocket League Season 5 Rewards Prediction
Unless they're willing to repeat a customization type it would have to be:
Antennas
Decals
Goal explosions
Engine sounds
Goal explosions would be the sexiest, but universal decals would be pretty slick too.
