In New World, the December End Game 1.2 Patch will be updated for the holiday season. Again the limited-availability server-set - Public Test Realm (PTR) rolls out in the game starting from December 3rd before the patch release officially. So there are massive changes and new contents have been discovered, as well as the details of Winter Convergence Festival. Then how to prepare for the upcoming New World Update 1.2? Here we are going to bring you the top five important things that you must do before the patch comes to live.
Before we dive into the preparation, let's check out when will the New World Patch 1.2 be live officially for all players. As you know, the December PTR servers have officially opened from December 3, at 10 AM PT (6 PM UTC), while the date and time of the official Update were not revealed in the December PTR Announcement. However, since it covers the holiday season theme event - Winter Convergence Festival and everything needs to be ready before Christmas time anyway, we predicted that: New World Update 1.2 Patch will release in about Mid-December!
Now let's go ahead and dive into the important things that you need to consider getting taken care of before the patch rolls out:
1. Up Your Professions For Trade Skill Aptitude System
The most important thing that you need to do before the patch is level your professions so that you can get those aptitude skill levels coming up into the future. Aptitude skill level is basically whenever you hit 200 in a given profession, you would then loop around another time with little bubbles, each bubble with a little tick would give you a box allowing you to get gypsum and some goodies related to your profession inside of that box. So this is going to be something very important because that is going to be the new theme in the new system.
So getting all of your professions in line is going to be very important, we would highly recommend stone cutting and you need to be able to create your own keys for dungeons and in-game content. You also should target the refining professions as they have daily cooldowns that will allow you to make a lot of good expensive and coveted trading materials, that you could sell in the auction house or use to create best and slot items. Additionally, make sure you get all four of smelting, woodworking, leatherworking, and weaving up if you have not already, it's a nice goal to have - once you have 200 of all of those, then you're on to your choice of pretty much anything that you would want. In the top category of crafting professions, we would recommend just picking one and focusing on it.
2. Save Turning Orb & Arena Key Cooldowns For Dungeons & Arenas
The second most important thing you need to do before the patch is back in stone cutting creating your orb cooldowns. You can make three Garden of Genesis Turning Orb and Lazarus Tuning Orb every week. Hopefully you have been making these already, if you have not, go ahead and start now because you can get a week or two in before this patch hits hopefully, and you will have extra keys to run dungeons with and you need to save each and every orb that you get. Do not use your Lazarus Tuning Orb and Garden of Genesis Turning Orb right now. You also need to consider making the Siren Tuning Orb, Monoecious Turning Orb and Protector's Tuning Orb, because they will be giving you new gypsum, in the patch coming up here, which will be used to turn in for expertise bump boxes. What's more, you can make five of these Protector's Tuning Orbs every week for each type, it is quite a bit of a grind but does keep in mind that you only need to do seven arenas or one arena per day to hit that maximum gypsum cap. So if you've gota group of friends that you run together with, if you all make one orb and then one makes an extra orb or two, then you should be covered for the week no problem.
3. Make Investment, Farm & Gypsum Plan
Making your investments and having a farm gypsum plan is the third important thing you should do for preparing for the December update. Now, when we talk about a gypsum plan, there's a lot of different types of gypsum, but essentially you need to understand which gypsum you're going to go to. Whatever that plan is, you're going to know what is best right because you know how much time you have, go ahead and plan accordingly start looking ahead and make a little checklist.
Also, come up with your farm plan like are you going to do the new malevolence area and the new elite zone level 66 plus? You need to think about those things. Start thinking along the lines of those.
The final thing in the planning phase is that investment planning, we would say invest in the profession that you use a lot. So if you are a master furnisher and you do furnishing all day long go ahead and invest in that before the patch, you'll thank yourself later because everybody will scrambling literally to get a hold of all these materials, trophies and items.
4. Scout Out New Perks
The fourth most important thing that you need to do before the patch is you need to start scouting the new best in slot perks. There are new perks better than the perks that are previously in the game, the entire best in slot list is going to be shifted upside down. So what you thought was a perfect piece of gear before is no longer a perfect piece of gear before, because there are additional armor perks, weapon perks, and harvesting tool perks. So go ahead and check all those out, there are tons of things ranging from healing reduction on your heavy attacks to 30 life leeching heavy attacks, more damage when you heavy attack they're really trying to push heavy attacks in this game - by the way, heavy attacks might be pretty good in the next patch.
Go ahead and scout around for these things, you're going to have awesome armor perks like physical aversion which is going to help you take reduced damage from archers, musket players and man they're hitting real hard right now. It's going to be an additional perk on your armor, so before we would usually have a best in slot PVP armor being something like resilient plus a perk. Even better armor sets that you can gather as a maximum potential, so make sure to check that out and plan ahead accordingly.
5. Gather Profession Gear & Trophies
Our final tip to prepare for patch 1.0 is to gather your profession gears. What's going to happen is a lot of players are going to be scrambling to do professions because of the new trade skill aptitude system and the way the gypsum system is working, so what you need to do is go ahead and get gear that is going to your profession. So if you are a stone cutter which everyone should be, you're going to want a full set of armor that increases your stone cutting output because this is going to be very important. You're going to be producing more products and have an extra chance, this does work on the corrupted fragments for the tuning orbs, so you can save yourself a lot of farm time from portals and create additional fragments. You can proc multiple legendaries, gems and all kinds of nice items.
The same goes if you're gathering profession and getting your armoring trophies because when that patch hits, everyone's going to realize that they want to do the trade skill aptitude since they want to get these high level recipes - the guaranteed 600 recipes coming from the armoring boxes. So that demand is going to go up really high and since the supply is going to be roughly the same, you can imagine how the market's going to shoot way up, so get it now before it gets up too high.
These are going to be our top five tips on how to prepare for the New World December update 1.2. And if you don't have much time on grinding, buy New World coins with cheap prices from AOEAH.COM could help you make good preparation for the new patch!
