Here we predict the WoW SoD Phase 2 PvP Tier List, so if you're new to the game and you're looking to start a new character before Phase 2, this will give you a good guide as to what class to pick for enjoying the 1v1, battlegrounds, group, and raid PvP.
WoW SoD Phase 2 PvP Tier List - Best DPS, Healer, Tank Specs Ranking for Season of Discovery Phase 2
This predicted WoW SoD Phase 2 PvP Tier List is tailored to highlight specs that are significantly impacting the current PvP meta. This focus means that less relevant or underperforming specs might not be mentioned, as they have a negligible effect on the overall competitive landscape. In Phase 1, it's turned out in Season of Discovery, that the majority of your power is going to come from not necessarily your spec but more so the runes in which you are equipping. As this is the tier list based on the data from the end of Phase 1, therefore, specs that don't synergize well with the current runes or talent structure might be omitted. In Phase 2, with more talent points available, the impact of talents may be increased, meanwhile, new runes will also bring tuning to classes, so we are expected to see some specs more viable or noteworthy. This means this Season of Discovery PvP Tier List will be refreshed later!

WoW SoD Phase 2 PvP Tier List - Best 1v1 Dueling Class Ranking
S Tier
Druid: Druids excel in the Warong Gulch Battleground due to their unparalleled mobility. Their ability to shapeshift out of snares and move faster than other classes makes them exceptional flag carriers. The 30% baseline movement speed increase is a game-changer, ensuring that Druids can traverse the battleground quickly and evade opponents effectively. This mobility, combined with their versatile toolkit, places Druids firmly in the S Tier.
Hunter (Beast Mastery): Beast Mastery Hunters are dominant due to their pet's high damage output and their own mobility skill, Aspect of the Cheetah. Their pets not only contribute significantly to their overall damage but also play a key role in controlling enemies. Hunters excel in chasing down flag carriers and maintaining control in the midfield, making them a top-tier choice.
A Tier
Disc Priest: Disc Priests are in the A Tier primarily due to their powerful and quick healing abilities. They can turn the tide of battle with spells like Penance and Power Word: Shield, which provide substantial healing and damage mitigation. Despite lacking movement abilities, their capability to rescue teammates in critical situations makes them invaluable.
Affliction Warlock: Affliction Warlocks offer a blend of sustained damage and crowd control. Their ability to cast fear and deal consistent damage with spells like Corruption and Shadow Bolts makes them a threat in any PvP scenario. Their decent movement and high sustain enhance their survival and effectiveness in combat.
Retribution Paladin: Retribution Paladins are noteworthy for their utility and burst damage. They can buff teammates with various blessings and deliver devastating attacks to enemies. Their ability to impact both the offensive and defensive aspects of a game makes them a strong contender in the A Tier.
B Tier
Rogue: Rogues are a skill-dependent class, capable of great feats in the hands of an adept player. They offer good movement and burst damage, along with excellent control abilities. However, their effectiveness can vary significantly based on the player's skill and tactical decisions.
Frost Mage/Fire Frost Hybrid: This hybrid build combines the strengths of Frost and Fire, offering good damage and crowd control. Frost Mages are easier to play compared to pure Fire Mages and provide significant utility to the team.
Fire Mage: Pure Fire Mages are currently struggling, mainly due to scaling issues and the lack of available gear in this season. While they have decent AoE capabilities, they are generally outshined by their Frost or hybrid counterparts.
Elemental Shaman: Elemental Shamans are not performing as well as expected. They have potential but are currently limited by the available abilities and gear. Their performance might improve with future updates and better gear.
C Tier
Boomkin (Druid): After receiving a damage buff, Boomkins have become a more viable choice, though still not as strong as other classes. Their ability to provide team buffs and off-heal adds to their utility, making them a reasonable choice in certain scenarios.
D Tier
Enhancement Shaman: Despite recent buffs, Enhancement Shamans remain in the D Tier. They lack the overall effectiveness and impact of other classes, and their toolkit does not yet make them a compelling choice in PvP scenarios.
Arcane Mage: Arcane Mages have fallen drastically due to significant nerfs. Initially overpowered, they now suffer from a lack of effective damage output and healing capabilities, making them a less viable option in PvP.
Meme Tier
Shadow Priest: Shadow Priests are at the bottom of the tier list due to their limited effectiveness in the current meta. They lack impactful runes and abilities, rendering them a weak choice for PvP in this season.
Fire (Pure): Regarded as a lesser option, pure Fire Mages face challenges with scaling and gear. In the current meta, they are overshadowed by Frost and hybrid builds, relegating them to a lower tier.
Balance Update Predictions
Shadow Priest: Expected to rise significantly due to recent buffs to their damage output, potentially reaching high B-tier or A-tier. This improvement, coupled with their healing capabilities, could make them a much more viable choice in PvP.
Boomkin: Might see an increase in viability, moving up to C-tier. The recent damage buff makes them a logical choice in some scenarios, though they might still not be as essential as other classes.
Enhancement Shaman: Despite improvements, they are likely to remain in the D-tier. The buffs haven't been sufficient to justify their inclusion over other more effective classes.
Beast Master Hunter: Continues to dominate in the S-tier. Even with nerfs to pet damage, Hunters retain their effectiveness through excellent mobility, damage output, and crowd control capabilities.
