Where to Find Rogue Runes in WoW Season of Discovery - WoW SoD Rogue Runes Locations & Spots

WoW Classic Season of Discovery has had us looking all over Azeroth for these new rune abilities. They're super fun to find blind and a lot of us are enjoying it, but some can be easily missed. So we will cover the first four runes that you can find on a Rogue in the human starter area. All of these can be found in either Elwynn Forest or Stormwind. Check the information about the SoD Rogue runes and their locations & farming spots.

WoW Classic Season of Discovery  Rogue Runes

There are several different types of Rogue Runes available that enhance different playstyles such as assassination, submarine, outlaw/combat etc.

- Popular Rogue Runes include Shadowstrike, Quick Draw, Exsanguinate, Envenom, Between the Eyes and others that increase damage of certain abilities.

- Runes can be acquired through various means such as rare drops from specific bosses/mobs or potentially purchased on the auction house.

- Only one rune of each type can be socketed at once across eligible armor pieces like helms, gloves, etc.

- Slotting different combinations of runes allows for custom build crafting and hybrid playstyles.

- Runes provide long-term system to progress for Rogues beyond normal item level upgrades.

- They add new mechanics and synergies to experiment with, breathing fresh life into the classic leveling experience.

- Min-maxing rune setups becomes part of endgame pursuits for dedicated Rogue players in Season of Discovery.

 WoW SoD Rogue Runes Locations & Spots - Where to Find Rogue Runes in WoW Season of Discovery 

In World of Warcraft Season of Discovery, the Rogue class has several unique runes that can enhance their abilities and playstyle. These runes can be obtained through various means, such as looting or pickpocketing treasure map fragments, defeating specific enemies, or completing quests. Check how to get the best Rogue runes in Season of Discovery WoW Classic (thanks to Medieval Marty for sharing the video). 

1. Shadowstrike Rune

This SoD rune for Rogue lets you go invisible and teleport to your target. You get this at the very start of the game, simply go to your class trainer in Northshire and take the quest to recover a stashed item. If you head over the river and go to the vineyard, it's just south of this as you get to the mountain, you'll see a little Shack with a couple of defias outside and there's a chest in front. Defeat the defies, pop the chest and there's your Shadowstrike rune. 

2. Quick Draw Rune 

And to one that's a little harder, the rune we can go for next is the quick draw rune. This is a quick shot with a ranged weapon that slows enemies down. To get this rune, you need to pickpocket parts of a treasure map and put that map together and then go find the treasure and the treasure is the rune. The 4 map pieces all drop from different humanoid monsters around Elwynn Forest. So first get to level 4 and unlock stealth and unlock pickpocket, and then start looking for the different humanoids.

• Undead: Tirisfal Treasure Map

• Orc and Troll: Durotar Treasure Map

3. Mutilate Rune

This deals damage with two weapons and it is a super powerful rune once you get dual wield in and it again requires pickpocketing to start or to learn about it. So you need to pickpocket an important NPC. You can get this from Morgan the collector in the house near where princess is in the bottom right of the map. 

Morgan The Collector definitely seems easy to get it from and he survives a little bit longer, so you can actually pickpocket it. This note tells you to follow the River North of Crystal Lake and south of the wall, so just head south of Northshire and follow the wall right up to the east side. There's like a hidden stealth guy here, just talk to him and he'll teach you mutilate. Some people are saying you need to be level 10.

4. Between the Eyes Rune

A finisher that also stuns a ranged finisher, the one thing Rogues have always wanted for gap closing. This includes a fight against two level 10 mob , so make sure you have friends or you're leveled enough and this can be found in Stormwind. Just head to the canals like the lake around, the Dwarven district and look for this house on the left side. Head through and you'll be in this alley follow it all the way to the end and you'll see this open house head upstairs in the house and as soon as you get to the top. you'll see a big bed and there should be a chest in front of the bed. If it's not here you need to wait for it to respawn cuz someone's already done it, click the chest and two mobs will spawn, defeat those and that's how you get the rune.
