As we anticipate the arrival of POE 3.22/Path of Exile 2, it's crucial to be well-prepared to maximize your gaming experience. This article will guide you through some essential steps to get ready for the upcoming update and ensure you hit the ground running.

POE 3.22 Preparation Guide - Things to Do to Prepare for Path of Exile 3.22 & POE 2

The internal target date for when POE 3.22 is going to launch now being announced as the 18th of August, this is the date that they will make barring anything unforeseen popping up and causing milestone slipping in their internal plans for releasing it. The second thing though is a bit newer and that is confirmation that there are going to be no July events, no repeats of events like endless delve, no experimental events like in March. One of the reasons for this is that Granite games have decided that they want to prioritize on the most important things at the moment which are ExileCon Path of Exile 2 and 3.22, and they don’t want a situation where they put a bunch of effort into making Endless Delve run in the game, and the time they put into doing that ends up meaning that things get missed in 3.22 and 3.22 launches with major problems. So there’s going to be no official end of League events for the Crucible expansion.

Below, we want to list a few different things to do now for aiming towards an even better League start 3.22 Path of Exile.

1. Stay Informed About the Patch Notes

Before diving into a new update, it's essential to read and understand the official patch notes. These notes will detail the changes, additions, and improvements in 3.22. Pay close attention to new skills, item balances, skill tree changes, and any other areas that may impact your playstyle or build. Understanding the patch notes will enable you to plan your approach accordingly.

2. Evaluate Your Build

With each update, Path of Exile often brings balance adjustments that may impact the effectiveness of certain character builds. Take some time to assess your current build's viability in light of the changes mentioned in the patch notes. It might be necessary to make adjustments to your passive skill tree, gear, or gem sockets to optimize your character's performance.

3. Acquire Necessary Gear

Patch 3.22 might introduce new items or modify existing ones, making it crucial to stay up to date with the latest additions to the game's equipment pool. Research the new gear options and identify pieces that complement your build. If possible, start accumulating the required currency or resources to acquire these items when the patch goes live. Additionally, consider stocking up on consumable items, such as potions, flasks, and crafting materials, to ensure a smooth progression.

4. Engage in Currency Farming

Currency plays a vital role in Path of Exile's economy. Taking advantage of existing farming methods or utilizing efficient strategies to accumulate currency will put you in a better position when new content arrives. Experiment with different farming strategies, such as mapping, Delve encounters, or boss runs, to find the most effective way to bolster your stash.

5. Join or Form a Community

Path of Exile has a passionate and helpful community that can offer valuable insights and strategies. Engaging with fellow players through forums, social media, or in-game communities can provide you with useful information, build recommendations, and the latest news. Participating in discussions, sharing ideas, and seeking advice will enhance your understanding of the game and empower you to make informed decisions.

Future Plans

Fuzzy Duckzy mentioned upcoming content & plans in preparation for Path of Exile 3.22. Firstly, look at the current league snap guide and work out what we can do better, what we can tweak, what we think works and where we can make improvements. Next, test out Trickster and Champion for reign of arrows as potential League starters. They're not as good as the raider, but they both have other benefits that they can bring to a build. And if ready gets a rework and it doesn't look particularly enticing. The reason we think raider is going to get a rework is before the last League, they did mention they had several other ascendancy reworks ready, but just weren't comfortable pushing them out in the last League because they weren't quite tested properly. Raider has been through a couple of reworks in the past and it probably isn't ascendancy that needs to rework especially if they're looking at what it's going to look like for Path of Exile 2 because it doesn't really bring anything special to a build. Lots of the reworks have seen things that you can only do on specific builds whereas raider for the most part is just lots of stuff that is difficult to get early, but once you're an end game, you can get nearly everything that is on a raider ascendancy in gear.
