WoW Dragonflight Season 4 DPS Tier List - Ranged & Melee DPS Ranking

As World of Warcraft Dragonflight Season 4 approaches, the community eagerly anticipates the shake-ups in the DPS rankings for both Mythic+ and PvP. The DPS rankings are particularly volatile, and speculation is rife as to which classes will dominate the tier lists. Based on data analysis and early Mythic+ performances, here's a breakdown of where each ranged and melee DPS spec could land.

WoW Dragonflight Season 4 Melee DPS Tanking (M+ & PvP)

Based on the data analysis, early Mythic+, and PvP performances, here's our prediction for Dragonflight Season 4 Melee DPS Tier List:

  • 1. Retribution Paladin (S Tier)

Retribution is experiencing a heyday and could very well be S-Tier, with a toolkit that now includes excellent damage for both AoE and single-target encounters.

  • 2. Unholy Death Knight (S Tier)

Unholy might be an S-Tier spec, with a tier set that is AoE-focused and well-suited for Mythic+. It has consistently been a strong spec throughout the expansion.

  • 3. Arms Warrior (A Tier)

Likely to secure a spot in A-Tier with the return of the Season 1 tier set, Arms Warriors could shine in AoE situations due to the cleave ability. However, there are concerns about single-target damage which could potentially drop them to B-Tier if not addressed.

  • 4. Outlaw Rogue (A Tier)

Outlaw is cranking on the PTR and could easily be an S-Tier or A-Tier spec at the start of the season. Its toolkit is incredible for Mythic+, though it may lack AoE scaling beyond a certain number of targets.

  • 5. Havoc Demon Hunter (A Tier)

With no major changes expected, Havoc might sit comfortably in A-Tier. While not overpowered, it performs well and brings essential utility to the group.

  • 6. Windwalker Monk (A Tier)

Predicted to be slightly better than its current standing, Windwalker could be an A-Tier spec. With buffs to single-target damage, it's in a good position for both AoE and single-target scenarios.

  • 7. Feral Druid (A Tier)

Feral could find itself in B-Tier, especially with its ability to deal significant AoE burst damage. Its performance in big AoE dungeons since Season 1 suggests it may even have the potential to reach A-Tier.

  • 8. Enhancement Shaman (B Tier)

This spec has performed well consistently and might find itself in A-Tier or close to B-Tier. With its current tier set retained in Season 4, it's in a strong position, though higher-end key survivability could be an issue.

  • 9. Frost Death Knight (B Tier)

Frost DK is doing okay and might land in B-Tier, especially with the Season 2 tier set bringing back powerful Frostwyrm's Fury. Its performance has been improving, and it has potential in AoE-heavy dungeons.

  • 10. Fury Warrior (B Tier)

Fury is expected to start in B-Tier. The spec might have a slow beginning but traditionally overtakes Arms as the season progresses, depending on how the Season 2 tier set performs in Season 4.

  • 11. Survival Hunter (B Tier)

Potentially landing in B-Tier, Survival's performance has been slightly better than some specs but hasn't been a top contender. It may rise or fall depending on the final balance changes.

  • 12. Assassination Rogue (C Tier)

With no significant changes known so far, Assassination may linger around C-Tier. The spec's performance in the current meta suggests it's capable of pushing high keys, but it's not at the top of the heap.

  • 13. Subtlety Rogue (C Tier)

Without much data, subtlety is hard to place but could be around B-Tier. It's less restrictive than Assassination and could see buffs that would enhance its standing.

WoW Dragonflight Ranged DPS Ranking (M+ & PvP)

We ranked each ranged DPS spec based on its potential in Mythic+, Raid, and PvP:

1. Shadow Priest (S Tier)

With the return of the god comp tier set, Shadow Priest might be S-Tier. It offers massive spell utility, Power Infusion, and strong damage, despite having a longer cooldown on interrupts.

2. Destruction Warlock (S Tier)

Likely to be an S-Tier spec, with many players expected to gravitate towards it due to its damage potential.

3. Fire Mage (S Tier)

Another potential S-Tier spec, especially as part of the god comp. Its performance scales with higher keys.

4. Balance Druid (S Tier)

Predicted for S-Tier due to its strong performance and Season 1 tier set. Its squishiness is a drawback, but its damage potential is high.

5. Beast Mastery Hunter (S Tier)

Also an S-Tier contender, BM Hunters can dish out significant damage, albeit with limited defensives.

6. Arcane Mage (A Tier)

Consistently performs well with a strong damage output. A reliable A-tier pick.

7. Demonology Warlock (A Tier)

Might be placed in A-Tier. Even with this season's tier set, it may be overshadowed by the preference players have for Destruction Warlocks.

8. Elemental Shaman (A Tier)

Positioned in A-Tier, Elemental Shamans are sleeper hits with significant damage output and utility, including short cooldown interrupts and Bloodlust.

9. Frost Mage (A Tier)

Predicted to be in A-Tier, positioned behind Demonology but still viable and strong.

10. Devastation Evoker (B Tier)

Likely to be in B-Tier. Even with a decent tier set, it's overshadowed by Preservation Evokers and lacks the damage output of other specs.

11. Marksmanship Hunter (D Tier)

Expected to be in D-Tier. It's generally outperformed by Beast Mastery and doesn't offer the same level of damage or utility.

12. Affliction Warlock (D Tier)

Expected to be at the lower end, possibly D-Tier. It's not unplayable but might not be as competitive as other specs.

These WoW Dragonflight Season 4 DPS rankings are speculative and based on early data. The actual performance of specs may change as players get more accustomed to the season's dungeons and the meta settles. Regardless of the spec you play, remember that skill and knowledge of your class can often outperform any tier list ranking. Happy gaming!
