This minor update also features some of the biggest class changes like a revamp to the class of Paladin, redefining the spec of Retribution. filling their talent tree with a ton of new gameplay options, on top of all the other classes it seeks to improve even further which got many in the community leveling new alts in anticipation. Though we are yet to see an official announcement regarding the release date of this upcoming update, gearing those fresh new characters will also be much easier in 10.0.7 as the catch-up process gets massively improved, where your Alts will be able to outfit themselves with the starter set very shortly, while your main can help directly gear your characters as well.

Dragonflight 10.1 Season 2 Mythic+ Dungeons - 4 New + 4 Old M+ Dungeons

1 - Exchange 359 Primalist World Gear

Upon your arrival, you'll be able to assist one of the four main Dragonflight factions, accepting the quest alone awards 1,000 Elemental Overflow, and completing their unique objectives doubles up your potential rewards as well as repetition gains and bonuses for either of these factions.  Enemies scouring the Reach will also be just as rewarding whether you are a solo player who prefers casually fighting some of the easier foes or a group of players going after powerful Elites and challenging rares. All enemies of the reach will award a generous amount of Elemental Overflow on top of other rewards as well. Elemental Overflow can be traded in for primalist World gear, perfect for open world content.

These items will start out at item level 359 and you'll also be able to farm these in a very deterministic way, guaranteeing themselves decent starter items with minimal time spent in the new content reach zone.

These items could be further upgraded into the Epic version of the same pieces Storm Sigils obtained by collecting Elemental Cores from various open-world activities. Potentially increasing the overall item level of your gear up to a maximum of 385.

2 - Primelist Armor Tokens

And in patch 10.0.7, you will be able to use your main character to actively gear your alts through open world activities, any targets you slay in the reach has a chance of dropping Primelist armor tokens which can then be sent to your alts to help him gear much quicker, these tokens turn into the Epic version of primeless gear and you'll be able to get these tokens as either cloth, plate, leather, or mail, usually targeting specific armor pieces like boots, belts, helms, shoulders and so forth. During our time spent on the PTR, we found that most rares and even treasure chests are very likely to carry such items which may require grouping up with other players to overcome. Though in this most recent PTR build, we noticed that non-elite enemies and even critters all have a chance of dropping these token items as well which can make all gearing incredibly easy.

3 - Use Knowledge Currency To Upgrade Primal Gear

In 10.0.7, all Primal gear can be further upgraded using knowledge collected while adventuring through the Forbidden Reach. Knowledge can be acquired once in most Elites and rares but could also drop from normal enemies as well. We were able to acquire this knowledge currency regularly, not as common as some of the other rewards but fairly consistent. Though it's worth mentioning that we were able to experience these drop rates on the test realms for patch 10.0.7 and it's very possible that your experience could vary, whenever this update officially hits the live realms. Upgrading Rank 2 Primal gear into Rank 3, improves the individual pieces to an item level of 395 while maintaining the same stats as well as all the other tiered combat benefits. These items also gain a unique green appearance of the primalist set which could be worth collecting just for the appearances alone.

4 - Use Chargers To Do Further Upgrade For Tier Set Items

And these items can even be further upgraded into tier set items. Using the Chargers from your stored up Revival Catalyst, Primal Helms, Shoulders, Chests, Legs, and Glove Slots will even come with the tier set bonuses but will have a higher item level than the original Rank 2 Primal pieces.

5 - Get Onyx Analyst Rings in Vaults

What are the new features of pacth 10.0.7 will be the Vaults hidden away in the depths of the Forbidden Reach, these Vaults can be explored in search of various rewards like pets, toys, history books were detailed lower ton of potential secrets, and a unique ring the Onyx Analyst. Unlike most rings, the analyte doesn't come with secondary stats but instead has three unique gem sockets which fit specialty elemental gems. These gems could either increase your player power striking foes with various Elemental attacks, protect your allies applying various busts to them and even Shield you when taking damage in combat. And this Onyx ring will be one of the Prime catch-up mechanisms of patch 10.0.7.

6 - Upgrade The Onyx  Ring To 424 with Gems

To get the gems to power the ring you must first open doors inside of the Vault, but to open these hidden doors you will need Vault Keys. Just about any activity within the Forbidden Reach can drop Vault keys from slaying normal enemies looting treasures and humans Lane rares, and these keys are also account wide meaning that you can use your main to help gear your alts and vice versa. You'll be able to customize this ring in any way you see fit and can slot these gems in and out of your ring as much as you want to from a specific accessory station. Any gems you find useless can also be crushed into gem dust, the dust can be used as a currency for you to buy new gems to experiment with or use the gem does to upgrade your best gems which is planned to be done with the jewel crafter to gain higher effectiveness. The base ring with the basic gems will start out your alts with an item level 411 ring. While a fully upgraded ring with the best gems will scale up to an atom level of 424.

And for now, that's going to be the full list of old friendly gearing improvements coming to the patch 10.0.7 PTR. This update is still in its development stages and there's a good chance that the drop rates you saw in today's video will not exactly be the same once this update officially goes live, but if it were to release as is alt gearing will be faster than ever as the Forbidden Reach so far seems like the most lucrative place to visit if you're looking to catch up into end game content as soon as possible.
